The Cento1 Air is new to Wilier's 2014 line up and is a combination of their Cento1 SR - with its smooth balanced ride characterises, and the sophisticated aerodynamics features of the TwinBlade. The Cento1 Air is based around a 60 ton carbon fibre monocoque frame and forks and features some unique design elements to enhance you riding comfort.
Straight away you can see that the seat post is aero and full carbon. This is manufactured by Ritchey and matches perfectly the aerodynamics of the seat tube. The locking mechanism (2 systems) is simple and clever at the same time, still being aero and incredible safe. All the cables (except brake) run inside the down tube and enter via the adjuster plate located at the top of the down tube. This provides a clean and tidy look to the frame. Another noticeable feature of the Cento1 Air are the aero rear seat stays. These have been inspired by the TwinBlade and feature lower down the down tube which means more aero performance. It does look stunning also. Other frame enhancements include, 386 EVO bottom bracket, asymmetric rear stays, an internal routing plate (under the BB), tapered head tube (1 1/8" to 1 1/4"), and a integrated aero carbon fork.
The Cento1 Air also comes fitted with Campagnolo's Record 11 speed groupset (except the chainset, which is their Comp One model (compact 50x34), and provides top class performance giving superior shifting and excellent brake modulation. Being 11 speed, means you have 22 gears at your disposal. This should provide you with the gearing you require to tackle the most demanding of hills, enabling you to hurtle down your favourite piece of straight/flat road all whilst out on a long endurance ride (sportive event) or perhaps during a competition event. Eitherway, the Cento1 Air delivers performance.
Coupled with the stunning frame, the superior Record groupset, you also get a pair of Fulcrum Red Wind deep section wheels (50mm). These roll effortlessly along the tarmac propelling you forward with every pedal stroke. They also come wrapped with a pair of Michelin Pro4 700 x 23c tyres and give great grip even when cornering at speed.
Finally, the finishing kit on this machine is from Ritchey and in the shape of their Pro range, Curve handlebar and a 4-Axis stem. The saddle, Wilier custom design, sits on top of the carbon aero seat post with Wilier also being present as regards the bar tape (black).
Everything about this bike is aero. Aero seat post, aero wheels, aero forks and frame - cheating the wind and getting you to ride as fast as you can is written all over this bike. If you take you cycling seriously, want the best and are prepared to pay for it, then take this Cento1 Air into consideration. It's a bike that is worthy of riding with the best within the pro peloton with components equally as matched.

About the Wilier brand
Wilier was born in 1906 thanks to the brilliant idea of a trader from Bassano, Pietro Dal Molin, of building bicycles on his own account. His forge or "Steel horses" rose as a small workshop along the banks of the river Brenta, at Bassano del Grappa, and it became more and more successful by keeping up with the increasing demand for bicycles.
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts. When you place an order for a bike, we ask for your height and inside leg measurements. Our team of qualified mechanics will check your measurements against the size chart to make sure that the size you choose will fit you correctly.
