The La Triestina Cross is designed for those who enjoy cycling on muddy and impassable tracks during cyclocross events. It's also great for a Winter bike when the weather is particular bad and your favourite lanes are not at their best.

Built with double butted aluminium, and carbon forks, the Cross bike comes fitted with Shimano 105 components, a cyclocross specific FSA Omega chainset (48x34 chainrings) and Tektro cantilever brakes. A pair of Shimano RS00 wheels wrapped with a pair of Maxxis Larsen MiMo 700x35c cross tyres provide the strength and grip when ploughing through the mud, or racing over the grass tracks. WARP products (handlebars, stem, and seat post) are fitted and help keep the price low as possible thanks to these products being built inhouse.
All the cable routing is external and runs along the top tube so staying away from mud etc and also allowing a more comfortable carrying position whilst on the shoulder.
Each Cross bike is fully built, tested and tuned by Wiggle's team of qualified bike mechanics to ensure you're bike arrives in perfect condition. To find out which size fits you use the size chart below.
Cyclocross bikes are similar to road bike, they are lightweight, with narrow tyres and drop handlebars. However, they also share characteristics with mountain bicycles in that they utilize knobby treaded tyres for traction, and cantilever style brakes for the clearance needed due to muddy conditions. They have to be lightweight because competitors need to carry their bicycle to overcome barriers or slopes too steep to climb in the saddle. The sight of competitors struggling up a muddy slope with bicycles on their shoulders is the classic image of the sport, although un-ridable sections are generally a very small fraction of the race distance. Cross bikes also make good winter bikes or commuters, their frames have plenty of clearance which allows for mudguards, while the upright angles make them agile around town, meaning you can hit the trails at the weekend and then fit some road tyres and commute on them during the week.
Wilier was born in 1906 thanks to the brilliant idea of a trader from Bassano, Pietro Dal Molin, of building bicycles on his own account. His forge or "Steel horses" rose as a small workshop along the banks of the river Brenta, at Bassano del Grappa, and it became more and more successful by keeping up with the increasing demand for bicycles.
