The Wilier Twin Blade has been designed to respect nature's airflow and seeks to manage it at every opportunity in order to maximise efficiency by diminishing air turbulence and resistance. The chainstays, seatstays and forks all have a wider profile in order to distance them from the turbulent air generated by spinning wheels.
The most visually dramatic aspect of the Twin Blade is it's front end, which features Wilier's Twin Fork. The fork provides a new level of stability in the front end, as well as setting the standard in airflow management. The fork legs act as flow stabilisers to maximise turbulence, while their integration with the handlebars diminishes structural deformation and flex.
Wilier designed the Twin Blade brakes to be invisible to the wind. The front caliper adopts the profile of the fork itself, being assimilated into it's aerodynamic foorprint. The rear brake likewise assumes the aerodynamic lines of the frame, positioned below the chainstays at the bottom bracket. It is housed in a carbon cover which encases the caliper and cables, hiding the complete assembly from the wind.
Shimano's 10 speed Ultegra groupset is present throughout this machine and gives the rider total reliability in its performance as the shifting is quick and quiet. With plenty of gears available, 20 in fact, and with the double chainset, with its 53x39 ring combination, you'll have plenty to choose from from especially for high end speed.
The bars and brake levers are from Vision's range of TT accessories allowing you to tuck down into a low position and be as aerodynamic as possible so saving vital seconds in your race.
The seat post is full carbon and completely aero. It uses Wilier's Internal Seat Post Binder Assembly which means that its fully integrated and housed within the frame, hiding it completely from the wind for optimal aerodynamics.
Fulcrum Red Wind aero 50mm wheels will also propel you further and faster once up to speed, but having a alloy braking surface means these can be used when the weather is wet. These wheels are clinchers and come fitted with a pair of Ritchey Race Slick tyres.
Each Twin Blade is fully built, tested and tuned by Wiggle's team of qualified bike mechanics to ensure you're bike arrives in perfect condition.

About Time Trial Bikes
Time trial and triathlon racing bikes are becoming highly advanced machines, with more and more research and development being invested in them to bring out the fastest most aerodynamic machine for the pro riders, the best thing about this is that all this is made available for the public as well. Time Trial and Triathlon bikes have come a long way in recent years with new technology and materials being implemented. The technology hasn't stopped at just the frame either, wheels and aero bars have received a lot of attention along with the rest of the components, TT and tri racing bikes are becoming featherweight, aerodynamic machines helping to reduce your times. Carbon fibre, aluminium and titanium are all used to produce the lightest, stiffest and most aerodynamic frames, wheels and components. All these materials have their advantages when used correctly and can be combined to create some truly exotic machines.
About the Wilier brand
Wilier was born in 1906 thanks to the brilliant idea of a trader from Bassano, Pietro Dal Molin, of building bicycles on his own account. His forge or "Steel horses" rose as a small workshop along the banks of the river Brenta, at Bassano del Grappa, and it became more and more successful by keeping up with the increasing demand for bicycles.
