A useful tool for rear view A most suitable rear view mirror especially suitable for my Brompton folding bicycle. Gives a good view for such a small mirror. 13 July 2010

The mirror was exactly what \i wanted ; it is unobtrusive and can be folded away inconspicuously. The mirror is very small and perhaps could be made in a slightly larger size. A choice of sizes would usefull. 30 June 2010

handy little mirror for checking traffic before turning right. I got it to help me see my little one in her trailer behind me. It's a little too small and doesn't really stick out far enough to do this but is excellent for general road use. Love the fact it flips in to keep it out of the way when leaning my bike up against a wall for storage. 30 June 2010

Zefal Spin Mirror I have a Marin hybrid and bought this to fit on the bar end which it doesn't however it does fit well on the handle bars and due to the excellent folding ability actually works very well. The mirror is better than I had expected from having read other reviews, possibly its a bit small but it allows me to see my partner when we are out cycling together so I don't have to keep rubber necking and thus fulfils its purpose. 28 June 2010

It's universal and fits either side.

The mirror rotates on its own axis a full 360 degrees as well as pivoting over 180 degrees on the arm.

The arm, similarly rotates a full 360 degrees on the handlebar axis.

What size bar ends will this fit

I tried a Cat Eye 500G Mirror and it is too big for the bar ends on my bike. What size bar ends does this mirror fit into.

My bars measure 15.75 mm internal diameter. That was a tight fit for this mirror. I wouldn't like to try it on anything smaller.

Yes the mirror fits in most bar ends but if you have a smaller diameter bar this will be a problem with this type of mirror. There are mirrors that use a rubber strap around the bar bur these can come off easily whilst riding.

Can these mirrors be used on upright handlebars, those that are used on recumbent cycles.

My handlebars are used by my side, with them pointing up. so can these fit with the mirrors able to be adjusted so they go sideways.

Can it be used with bull bars

I just bought a Specialized Sirrus which comes with flat bars and bull ends. I'm looking for a small mirror that will fit on the bar end or the bull end and not get in the way when I switch my grip. Is this suitable?

Answer:

Yes the mirror fits into the open end of the tube of a standard bar. Bull ends usually clamp over the bar and leave the end exposed. It is not robust and may easily be broken if lent on or bike is dropped.
