Solid, Solid as a lock
Heavy but whats the point in moaning if it stops the bike being swiped by a tea leaf. Big enough to go round back wheel, frame and a fence etc

Great value for money
This was excellent value for money and I'd recommend buying it if it's within your price range. Thought about getting another cheaper one, but Abus is a good brand and hopefully, any bike stealing neanderthal will be put off by seeing this.

Very good, but awkward to lock.
First off this is a great lock, feels secure and knowing abus i know it is. It's a bit heavy but hey, you don't buy a chainlock to save weight hussle about weight.
The only downside appart from weight is when you are going to lock it. It's a bit of a chore to do, you will wish you had a third hand. But if you're not in a hurry, it's no problem.
It is a very priceworthy product!

Difficult to latch
This chain and lock set is very well made. Difficult to tell how hard it is to break - I'm not about to attempt to. The chain's padded sock/sleeve is very good and protects the frame. When the padlock is unlocked, the jaws retracts into the locks body. The key needs to be inserted and turned anti-clockwise to lock. Hard to describe, but locking this into the chain's links requires a bit of effort. You can't just put the locks jaw into one link, and then the other and lock it. You have to hold both links aligned, and in alignment with the opening on the lock, then turn the key to engage the jaw. All has to stay aligned while one hand holds the lock and two chain ends, whilst the other hand turns the key. This can be difficult if it is dark or locking to an awkward spot. All said, it is still an impressive lock. The lock and chain weigh 1.95 kgs (4.3 lbs).
