Trickly to replace - don't squeeze the lever once the pads are out !!
Really good pads otherwise.

Top notch pads. Don't compromise, get the Avid ones.

Good website, delivery and fit
very pleased with the pads; web site easy to access and delivery quick and efficient

Buy these - don't buy the cheaper versions
I previously bought some clarks pads to replace the worn out ones on my BB7s. The tolerances were terrible and the springs didn't sit on the pads properly, causing the pads to actually fall out a couple of times. These are a level above in terms of quality: the spring fits precisely around the edge of the pad, and the recess in the back fits the pins better. I won't be buying the imitation pads again.

These are possibly very noisy, but that could be the 'fault' of the rotor and not the pads. Both are Avid parts, but one is making braking very noisy indeed, but on a plus side, people do tend to hear me coming!

Nice fit and stops the bike quick.
A few hundred miles on there is still plenty of pad left but most of the cycling is on road so they don't get heavily used.

Big improvement over sintered
Bought these to replace the sintered that came with my bike originally, partly because they had warn but also because they were noisy. Whilst the new pads can emit the odd squeak they are far quieter both in the wet and dry. More importantly there is a more progressive and reassuring feel to the stopping power in my BB7's. Don't know how long they will last but thoroughly satisfied so far.

As always, great value, a price match option is available (but seldom required). Excellent postage options including free. All this, combined with an outstanding product range, keeps me coming back to Wiggle.

Expensive but easier to fit than alternatives
I tried some cheaper pads previously, but they seemed a bit big for the calipers. These are a better fit but don't seem to last as long as the rim brakes on my other bikes.

Good set of disc brakes. Simple to install. Would recommend.
08 March 2015
These pads are 100% better than the non avid ones. Easy to install unlike other after market ones. I will only buy these ones in future. Only down side is the price, but you pay for what you get.

Great so far..
I opted for the sintered version and they were a perfect replacement for my worn old pads. A little more pricey than the imitations but worth the extra cost if you want them to last and fit first time.
Go careful when fitting the pads, you do not want to damage the pistons in the process by forcing them in. Make sure the pistons are fully compressed into the calliper.
They stop me well after a re-bleed. I am looking forward to the pads bedding in fully; ending my embarrassing squeals through the woods.

had these pads before so I know what im getting they are of very good Quality very good price and very good service will buy these again

Excellent product with consistent performance
Great consistent performance from brake pads in our tandem. Long life, even wearing, and reliable even in wet conditions.

These fit the brakes well
You should use these instead of other manufacturers imitations. These are more expensive but they fit correctly first time. It's a false economy to buy non-Avid replacements.
04 December 2013
excellent quality product, at a great price delivered quickly
19 August 2013
Does the job, what more can you say. Perfect fit as would be expected
12 August 2013
Good replacement for original avid pads, a little pricey though
05 July 2013
tried cheaper alternatives with poor results so just stay with the originals the quality is far better
20 June 2013
So far they have performed well
A bit of a fiddle to fit. They are expensive but reading various blogs I decided not to fit a cheaper alternative.

High performance Avid branded brake pads
Good quality Avid branded for Juicy 3 Mountain bike brakes.
25 May 2013
If you need replacements, these are it.
But next time don't buy brakes that use these darn spring clips to wedge them in, get the ones that insert themselves and stay in place magnetically.

Best Ive Used
Having tried the EBC and Clarks bads Im back to the Avids. For me they seem to give the best performance and pad life on my Juicy 5's. The Clarks were complete rubbish, with organics ones lasting just 3 short muddy rides, and the sintered ones not much longer.

Original and best Avid Juicy pads
You can probably get cheaper brake pads but they won't be original Avid Juicy OEM parts and as this is the first time I changed the pads on my bike I wanted to ensure I got the best.
Sintered pads last longer and don't fade as quickly, however they are reported to cause squeel, but I'm happy to say I've had no annoying noises from these. They work well and time will tell if they will wear as well as expected.
All in all a good price for some OEM pads.
16 May 2012
Easy to fit, just hope they last longer than the cheap ones that were in the bike when I got it.
21 February 2012
These brake pads are very good value and provide a high level of performance
21 February 2012
As with usual wiggle orders, these turned up in the post fast.
Fitted to the bike with ease and then straight off to the trails doing exactly what they should.
31 January 2012
Dependable stopping power
Good value pads that are effective and long lasting.
14 June 2011
Do what they say they do.
My road bike (Trek Portland) came with these installed, and I must've done over 3,500 miles (including some hard braking work in the Alps, Welsh hills and the Pyrenees) before I changed to a new set of pads recently. For that I'd say that these pads have got a fair bit of durability!
They might seem expensive to some but with a very good (though not overly sharp) stopping power you can't really pay too much for the safety of good brakes.
What's more, they are so easy to install - you just use your fingers!
14 June 2011
Pads are good and easy to fit to the brakes. They are quite expensive, but you do need to stop somehow

I have Avid juicy 3's on 160mm rotors on a 2009 Rockhopper. comp disc. Which type of pad is the direct replacement - Sintered, Organic, Organic with Alu back plate? The Specialized spec. just says 'alloy backed disc pads'
