Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought as an improvement to standard brake pads that cane with tektro canti's. They are almost twice as wide and were a great increase in stopping power. Also, a decent price for 2 pairs of brakes that include cartridges. Nice one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great - what's the fuss about? I have been trying to improve my weak brakes so have gone through quite a few pads & calipers and these feel actually much weaker than the shimano's - at least it the dry and only a bit better than the stock no-names.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good upgrade from supplied Shimano shoes It's annoying that Shimano V brakes are supplied with brake shoes that have integrated pads. What a pain to have to remove and readjust the the whole shoe unit when the pads are worn, or even to clean the pad surface. These BBB units with removable pads are an excellent upgrade. I had planned to ultimately fit Koolstop pads when the BBB pads become worn, but I have been quite satisfied with the performance of the BBB pads. I have probably used them for about 2000 km of Canberra cycling.

Are all V brake pads the same..any recommendations for winter use..we have lots of hill so do get a lot of use!
