100% Carbon Chassis The 100% 3K carbon construction of the shoe chassis has been specifically designed to ensure maximum performance at an incredible low weight. Despite the low weight the chassis provides incredible stiffness for the very best power transfer. Custom Heat Moulding Bont Cycling's proprietary thermo-mouldable resin ensures the fit customization of the Blitz can be made using a standard home oven. Click on the video tab for full instructions. A Bont cycling shoe is the most heat mouldable shoe available. Bont's proprietary resin has been developed and perfected over 36 years to be an extremely stiff resin that becomes pliable at relatively low temperatures. Unlike other shoes which are mouldable only in select locations, all Bont cycling shoes are able to be moulded over the entire chassis providing you with not only the most anatomically designed cycling shoe on the market today, but also with the ability to fine tune the fit of the entire shoe to give a true customised fit. Secure and adjustable Retention System The BOA dial and a forefoot strap ensures micro adjustability of the fit both when on and off the bike ensuring you can obtain the best feel and performance at all times. Great Ventilation The Bont Blitz is highly ventilated via integrated top mesh panels and ventilation holes throughout the side microfiber panels. This allows cool fresh air to enter and moist warm air to escape regulating the temperature for more comfort. Durable Microfiber upper The upper is constructed using a high grade gloss Microfiber to provide the Bont Blitz with a strong outer layer able to withstand the rigours of everyday cycling whilst mesh inserts assist with breathability in hot weather. Cycling Specific Last Design A last is a replica of a foot that the cycling shoe is built around. Last makers do not make cycling shoe lasts, they only make shoe lasts so perfecting a cycling shoe last requires a great deal of expertise in functional biomechanics and ongoing research. At Bont, they have been perfecting their performance footwear lasts since 1975 and the process is ongoing. They firmly believe that they place more importance and thus place more effort into their lasts than any other cycling shoe brand and it is the reason that Bont cycling shoes continue to be a leader in providing the most functional and correct anatomical support to cyclists than any other brand on the market. This is summed up in their motto "We make shoes for cycling, not walking." Medial Longitudinal Arch Support Structural medial longitudinal arch support is provided in all models to stop over pronation of feet. Over pronation is one of the main contributors to incorrect tracking of knees during a cyclists pedalling phase due to internal rotation of tibia and femur. This can result in knee injuries. In addition, the rotation of tibia/femur can cause the pelvis to tilt resulting in lower back strain. Anatomical Forefoot Shape Conventional cycling shoes offer a “dress shoe” type shaping. Although highly aesthetic this will cause the toes along with the metatarsals to be overly constricted, compressing the nerves between the metatarsals which often results in the common "hot foot" sensation. Bont cycling shoes anatomical shaping allows your foot to function in its most efficient and anatomically correct position. The foot is supported in its endeavour to relax through the metatarsal joints allowing the pedalling force to be spread across the greatest possible surface area. Anatomical Heel Cup The anatomical heel cup shaping of Bont cycling shoes provides increased stability during the pull through stage of the pedalling stroke and into the up stroke. This stabilisation is achieved without any mechanical operation or over tightening of straps/laces allowing for increased comfort and blood circulation. Lateral Forefoot Support Bont’s lateral forefoot support ensures neutral positioning of the forefoot and alleviates common issues associated with over pronation and supination. These issues often result in incorrect tracking of knees causing injuries along with hip and lower back pain.

Bont Size Chart To find your size, place a tape measure and piece of paper on a flat surface up against a wall. With your heel approximately 1mm away from the wall, stand on the tape measure, slowly roll your weight forward and onto the forefoot while keeping your heel firmly connected to the floor. Look down and take the measurement from the wall to your longest toe. Record the length. With your foot still in place, use a straight edge in a vertical position and place it up against the widest part of both sides of the foot. Measure the width across the widest part of your foot and record the number in millimetres. Repeat this step for both feet.
If you're unable to do this yourself, have someone take the measurements while you focus on keeping the entire foot connected to the ground at all times.
Once the measurements have been taken, first use the horizontal MM scale on the size chart to find your size (length). The MM sizes on the chart are the exact length of the last that Bont uses to build the shoes. If you find that your MM size is exactly the same as a value on the size chart, you may want to select one size bigger to give your toes some room. For example, you measure your feet and the length of your left and right feet are 278mm and 280mm respectively. If you were browsing for a Helix, Riot+ Series, Vaypor S or other models from the top line size chart you would be exactly size 44.5. However, as stated, this is the exact length of the shoe last and unless you like your shoes to be very tight, you may wish to add an additional 5-8mm onto your measurements to account for toe room and sock thickness. This will result in the most appropriate size. In this case, you would select a size 45.
Following the selection of size (length), move downward to select the most appropriate width. Bont recommends adding 1mm to find the most appropriate width. For example, you are looking at a Vaypor S and have determined your best shoe size is 45 – accounting for the additional length added to your foot measurements. Your widths are 105mm and 107mm respectively and so, with an additional 1mm added, you would still fit within the Standard Fit. If your feet measured narrowed than 100mm or wider than 110mm, you would consider Narrow Fit or Wide Fit.
