Excellent saddle
It may not be leather but it is a damned comfy saddle from the beginning. No need to break it in, rub it with waxes or tension it periodically...and thats the only reason it doesnt get 5 stars. There is a certain investment of time, energy, wax and a little discomfort that leads to the enduring love for a Brooks leather saddle. This one you just sit on. Can't fault it at all but...

Not leather
Obviously this is not like the leather Brooks saddles - it is good - but in no way has it broken in like the leather saddles I've used and although comfortable has not reached the stunning comfort levels of the leather saddles. It is good though - I'd recommend it, but don't be surprised that it isn't leather.

Classic saddle
The appearance of the Brooks C15 saddle looks absolutely perfect mounted on my restored 1982 Eddy Merckx. It's a modern design, but it looks just right on this classic bike. The body of the saddle is a vulcanized natural latex rubber shell with a woven cotton cover. There is no padding, but it feels comfortable as soon as you sit on it and for the entire ride, no matter how long. But you need to spend the time and care to get its positioning exactly right. A mm up or down with the seatpost or a half cm forward or back with the rails or the slightest tilt up or down with nose will make all the difference. When it is perfectly positioned the saddle does not squeak. When it is slightly out of position the load between the body and the rails is varying as you pedal and and there is a slight rubbing between the steel rails and the plastic bushing set into the alloy frame at the rear.

Hard as a rock and super comfy. Go figure?
Initial thought was that it was even harder than my Brooks Professional but from the first ride that thought was dispelled. The rubber shell gives great support to your sit bones while at the same time taking out pretty much all of the harshness and vibration. Looks dead cool on my Croix de Fer stainless too...

Squeaks
The saddle is very comfortable but the constant squeaking with every pedal stroke is unacceptable. It is simply poor design to have the rubber sides rubbing against the steel rails. Greasing the rails as suggested by Brooks shouldn't be necessary but in any event it doesn't work. Also the colour of the saddle quickly fades so my dark grey saddle is now a beige colour.

nice saddle
tried both C15 and C17. C15 is too narrow in my case and only 19 grm lighter than the C17. Long term durability of the top canvas (fray already) questionable.

Very comfortable saddle
Great saddle, very comfortable from the first ride. Highly recommended. No further adjustment needed, will need to see how it fares on much longer ride, a sportive for example.

not the brooks you might expect
i got the black one. first off it looks the part on a racing bike. second, have put about 1,000 km's on it since i got it. no problems. immediately comfortable. no problems with it abrading shorts. went for a ride of 72 km's with it on weekend. no dramas. great seat. looks great.

Quite comfortable, but squeaky
Road with the saddle for 2 days and it drove me to distraction with a constant squeak while sitting on the saddle which went away when I was out the saddle
Checked for tightness and greased the rail, but no improvement
Spoke to Brooks who acknowledged they are getting the same complaints. The guy I spoke to was very helpful and said it has not been a problem on the C17 and only on some C15 but they had not as yet resolved the problem and if I would send it back they would investigate and replace, but I would be left with the postage costs, so sent it back to Wiggle who have refunded the purchase price

Quality and comfort...
This is a very good product. Do not be put off with the firmness of the seat. My friends mocked about it until they tried it. It really is comfortable from the start. Anyone who cycles long distance should know that you need firmness. This seat has that plus it supports just in the right place. Very good.

Might be the most comfortable saddle I ever gotten
It fits my CX commuter bike perfectly. I took out for a blazing off-road stint and it's still comfortable hours in. Compared to the cannondale stock saddle, this is alot harder to the touch but so much more comfortable when you sit on it.

Extraordinary comfort
I can't tell you enough how much I enjoy this saddle.
Legendary Brooks comfort from the very first second. Beautifully styled, it looks absolutely sick on my Bianchi.
I'm using it on my super commuter / urban rider and it's delightful - I can't speak to it's efficacy as a racing saddle but I wouldn't mind betting that for the larger or more elderly sportive rider it's probably a perfect choice for providing the comfort needed over longer distances.

Good Winter/wet saddle, keep the B15 for dry days
The cotton surface is a little rough and takes a few rides to smooth out - in the meantime you may see some scratching on your lycra which is not good. Saddle has the bounce of the B15 but a lot firmer at the front. The rubber sits very close to the rails and a little grease is needed to stop the annoying squeak. The "robustness" on wet days makes up for it though compared to the leather B15. About 500 miles so far and very pleased apart from the initial scratching.

Happy landings
Bought this saddle based on Brooks' reputation and it paid off. It's as comfortable as the leather saddles I rode in the 1970s. I've been riding on it for nearly a month and have no complaints. Since my racing days are long over the saddle's extra weight isn't a problem. Besides, here in San Diego, you can easily offset that extra 150 grams by reducing your weekly burrito consumption!
