So comfortable!
This is a superb product. Well made, well designed and far better than any other saddle I have tried.

Comfortable out of the box
After Proofide applied I left the saddle a week and then mounted it on my bike. The first ride was a quick 20 miler just for fitting and adjusting. It was comfortable out of the box.
Since then I have done rides of various lengths and the saddle's comfort is only improving.
I will be buying another for my gravel grinder.

Saddle only for 200 km
I bought this saddle cos I hear a lot of great reviews of brand brooks.
I rode 300 km to prepeare it. After I rode brevet 600 km. It was comfortable only for 200 km, after this saddle destroy my skin.
U can buy this saddle if want to ride 100-200 km.

Very comfortable for me so far
Bought this saddle to replace my treasured 3 yr old B17 Titanium which on long rides was unfortunately proving to be less than perfectly comfortable in the places where the B17 Imperial was a potential improvement. After a few longish rides and a fair bit of Proofide, the Imperial seems to be living up to its promise. Unfortunately, I had a bad crash in January (black ice = broken leg) and have not had a proper chance to put it to the test, but seems great so far. My only gripe is that it is very heavy compared to the Titanium, which was perfect on my Sabbath Silk Route. I suggested to Brooks that they should do option on the Imperial with titanium frame (ideal for serious long distance riders) but got no reply. My budget is quality first where saddle comfort is concerned!

Comfort Saddle....worse than useless
This was the worst product I have ever bought. To take the weight off softer parts, Brooks have imitated other manufacturers and removed a central portion of the saddle. The problem is they have simply cut this vertically leaving a sharp edge. It has not been rounded off in any way. It looks and feels like a cheese grater...you only have to run your finger along the edge when you unpack it. Foolishly, I tried to ride it.....I would have been more comfortable riding on the seatpost. I sent it straight back. I am surprised at Brooks, with their reputation, for putting something as poor as this onto the market.

comfy quality, beautifully made
I had it set a little 'nose down' to start with and felt i was not sat quite right. Tiny adjustment and it is perfect. You really can feel when your sit bones are 'right'.
Initially I was put off buying by the weight but I am doing a LEJOG this year so need a decent saddle and as a heavy rider i just need to lose a pound of flab instead.

Worth the effort
Does look a bit weird on a road bike at first but you get used to it, first ride was extremely uncomfortable but on it's third outing have just completed 4 hours with no discomfort. I have high hopes for the future. Caused a few 'Gentleman's area numbness' problems at first but fine after nudging the nose down slightly.
Doing LEJOG on it soon so that will be the real test.

You need to be careful when it rains.

Imperial B17 Narrow Saddle
Superb saddle, love the leather. Takes time to ease in. Frustrated by the wide supports at the back as my under saddle bike bag was a real problem to fit. Brookes should make the supports a standard width apart so they fit standard under saddle bike bags though.

Excellent best saddle I have ridden on
I received this saddle as a present. The packaging was impressive the saddle itself looked a quality product. I initially was concerned about the "cut out" I had thought that the saddle had a channel rather than an actual hole. I anticipated that breaking in the saddle might take some time however after a couple of hour long rides I was able to do a 10 hour cycle event over nearly 80 miles with no soreness or stiffness. The saddle just gets better and better and I will be fitting Brooks saddles to all my bikes as and when I can afford to and I look forward to many years use out of this saddle. Highly recommended

You cant go wrong
I have tried so many saddles over the years and have never felt completely at home with any. I decided to buy this product for my trainig and commuting bike (cotic Roadrat) and apart from the first couple of rides during which the leather was breaking in, it has been amazing. The best part is that I think it can only get more comfortable with age and everyone keeps asking me questions about it. I suppose the looks are down to personal taste and in my view comfort is far more important when you are spending at least several hours in the saddle a week.

My first brooks saddle
I've been riding fixed for the past three years with quite a few long distant (70+ mile) rides and have always had issues with my saddle. This saddle is awesome. No more numbness and no more sore butt after a long ride. Definitely worth the cash, and it's pretty cheap on here. My only issue is that it's too pretty that I'm nervous to get it scratched up.

Brooks Imperial Narrow Saddle
I have been riding on Brooks Saddles since my first Raleigh in 1968. I tried one of the Imperials when they first came out and one by one put an Imperial on all the bikes I ride. These are comfortable and well worth the extra weight. I just bought this one in case I buy another bike. I ride 4 to 6 hours and comfort is important. Outside of vintage road bikes, I have a Specialized Tarmac and it has an Imperial on the end of its carbon seat post.

Easy rider!
Bought a Brooks B17 Imperial after using another BG (Body Geometry) saddle with a cut out. Hesitated to change because the other one was comfortable, but I wanted to try out Brooks reputation. Easily fitted and laced up and out for a ride. Felt good and after a few rides really started to feel the benefit. This is a great saddle and I can recommend it. I won't be going back to my old saddle now. Only suggestion I would make to Brooks is that it should be shipped with a tin of Proofride which is essential for long life of the saddle.
