    Pertex® shell

    Classic Pertex® shell, designed to be fully impervious to adverse weathers, sealing the upper body away from the cold, wet and wind.

     

    AquaTherm Pile Lining

    This shell works in perfect unison with AquaTherm Pile Lining to keep the body breathing, with moisture vapour and heat able to pass through and out into the atmosphere. In outdoor pursuits having breathable layers is key to keeping you warm.

     

    Jacket features

    Storm baffles on the neck and size zips provide extra coverage from battering winds and an extra-long front hem allows water to drip down your front without saturating trousers. Eight ventilation controls including two-way side zips help you to control temperature.

     

    Pockets

    A spacious zipped front map pocket means you can take your directions with you everywhere and warming pockets are a great place to stow chilly hands. The front pocket also allows you to fasten your rucksack through it.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive but worth it Make no mistake - they are expensive items but in my opinion worth it. Well made, long enough to keep you snug but still have good movement. I brought as was getting so cold when outdoors but this has made a huge difference. If you feel the cold - an invaluable purchase.

My first is still going strong but a little small after 15 years of me getting bigger. I completely recommend them. They are strong, warm, versatile and your best friend when it's cold, particularly if you are going to be out for a long time and your wear it next to your skin. the first has seen 9 years in the military, being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as the windy falklands in addition to winter walks, bothy nights and that time the heating failed. Its a life product, that's for sure, my old one will live on with my missus and probably my daughter for years to come. Hands down one of the best designed and built bits of kit Ive ever tried. While they aren't cheap, they are worth every penny. The style isn't for everyone, but that's because they are all about function and durability. You will not regret buying one if you are serious about the outdoors. Just make sure to get the right chest size.
