It worksDon't try to remove your campag bottom bracket with another tool, it'll likely round the thread and then you'll be well and truly screwed (pun intended).
It costs way too much money for a small piece of metal, and no one else does one cheaper, but that's all part of the the joy of using campag components.

it's good if you havea campagnolo groupset- works fine, you do need an adjustable wrench or a 24" fixed key to get the benefits from it though :-)

does what it saysOK, it's a splined tool for removing cassettes. It's simple, well engineered, fits well and does the job - used several times and no signs of wear etc. You'll need a suitable spanner / socket and a torque wrench for best results of course. Only one niggle - another manufacturer, which makes one for a well known Japanese competitor, puts a spindle in the middle. This helps hold the tool in place when in use. This Campag one could do with a similar addition, hence only 4 stars.
would it be suitable for an old campagnolo 6 speed freewheel?

Unfortunately, this is only compatible wit the newer cassettes. The freewheel tool which need to be sourced.

Yes it should do as long as it is a cartridge bottom bracket and not Ultra Torque cups.
