A Thing of Beauty...
I just wish I had bought one for for myself!! It's Campag so what do you expect? Very well engineered and works really nicely. It's just a shame so many bottles of wine come with a screw cap nowadays (well the ones I can afford do)

You'll never struggle with a cork again
Mrs MechHead and I were given one of these quite a few years ago as a wedding present and from the pictures it hasn't changed at all. Rather like the manufacturer's bike components this is finished beautifully and works like an absolute dream. The bottom spring-loaded section is pulled down over the neck of the bottle to align the corkscrew, then it's a doddle to get it into the cork thanks to the massive leverage of the top turney bit (too technical?). The cork is then extracted very easily using the long arms...simple! I've never had a cork break with this wondrously well-engineered device, and believe me it's had a bit of use over the years. Expensive? Maybe, but I can't imagine how to make a better functioning corkscrew.
