    Description

    The design is derived directly from the 11-speed components with the oversized outer plate to provide greater rigidity to the entire system. The surface treatment protects it from corrosion and ensures that the Veloce(TM) rear derailleur maintains its performance over time.

    Should I go for short cage or medium cage?

    I am building a bicycle with a compact Campagnolo Veloce chainset (50/34) and a (Veloce) 13-26 cassette. So I am simply wondering what rear derailleur version I should go for - the short cage version or the medium cage version. And if I should go for a 13-29 cassette, what version would be suitable for that?

    A 13-26 will require a short cage and a 13-29 will require a medium cage.

    I can confirm that this will be compatible with a 10 speed Campagnolo compatible cassette 11-23t and the Vero chain set with Campagnolo compatible chain rings. I hope this helps

    I apologise but the cage on the dérailleur will be to narrow and the nine speed will catch on the cage sides. I hope this helps.

    Can this be used on a classic steel frame?

    I am looking for a derailleur to use on a refurbished classic steel frame fitted with a Campagnolo-compatible gear hanger. Can this be used on classic frames with 10- or 12-speed freewheel and old style Campagnolo friction levers? Are there any mounting or connecting issues I should bear in mind? Thank you.

    I'm Using this derailleur on a 1980s Steel Mercian with Original Campagnolo drop outs. Using Veloce STI levers. Swapped friction levers for shimano gear stops available from Wiggle. Works really well. Using Veloce 10 speed cassette on Fulcrum 5 wheels

    Will this have space for an 11-32 IRD cassette?

    I'm looking at an IRD 11-32 campag compatible rear cassette and would like to know if the medium cage will clear the largest sprocket

    I have very successfully used both a short and medium cage campagnolo Centaur / Chorus 10 s rear derailleur with an IRD 12-32 10s cassette. You need to adjust the top screw on the cage plate to ensure the top pulley clears the 32 T sprocket, make sure you have the correct chain length and NEVER use large chainring / largest 32 sprocket combination. It works just fine. I have even used a IRD 12- 34 cassette with a medium cage Veloce rear derailleur, adjust as above

    You might get away with it if you had 42/52 chainrings, but I'd be surprised if it had the range to cope with a 34T chainring.
