Description

GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® X-Fast fabric is used across the front and sleeves of the Velocissimo ROS Jacket. This highly functional material is windproof to prevent icy blasts from getting inside and robbing body heat. It features a fleece lining too, holding on tenaciously to warmth. Its excellent breathability lets moisture escape, delivering extra comfort as you build up a sweat.

The back meanwhile, is in Nano Flex, a water-repellent fabric without membrane. This is used to ensure excess heat and moisture can escape when you're riding at a higher intensity. At the same time, it protects you from the elements. In fact, the entire jacket is water repellent to protect you from road-spray or light rain - ideal for damp and drizzly autumn rides or those short and sharp showers of springtime.

Castelli gives the jacket a close-to-body fit, but you won't feel it's too tight, instead offering space to move. The pockets are spacious, with plenty of space to load up for longer rides, while the details like the YKK zipper and reflectivity are just right.

The Velocissimo ROS Jacket proves that great performance doesn't have to be complicated, the focus on getting the fit, fabrics and details right makes for a jacket that hides its exemplary performance under its stylishly subtle skin.

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.

Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality jacket, suitable for year round use Despite not being a sprinter I purchased this item in Green recently. The fit (Large - 1.88m tall and 80kg) hits the goldilocks zone, not to snug and not too loose, with space for baselayers underneath. Suitable jacket for most conditions, have tested down to 0C without feeling cold. A fear of 'black ice' prevents me from testing in colder climes than that. Quality is top notch and I can see this jacket lasting a good few seasons. There is ample space in the pockets for all the tools needed on a long ride and some vital 'anti-bonk' snacks. As an 'almost all weather rider' I can only see one downside with this jacket and that is the lack of a zipped pocket, which means on rainy days its best to wear an mid layer with a zip pocket to keep your phone etc safe. For this reason I would give the jacket a 9/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as I hoped I’m 5’ 10” and 38 chest. I bought a large which is suggested for a 39 chest and it’s a perfect snug fit with a base layer. Kept me sufficiently warm on a 2 hour cycle in 5 degrees. Not tried in the rain but I’m confident it will be shower proof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good style and fit. So well made and a great style and fit. These jackets are so much better than the cheaper brands. Fits neat and the sleeves are a good length. Looks good in blue and is bright.

Jacket provenance

I can’t seem to find any reviews for this jacket on other websites or find it on Castelli’s website. Is this a new or special edition jacket? Thanks

There seems to be many versions of Castelli jackets and it is hard to work out when they have been released or if they are a special addition just for Wiggle but I can recommend it and it looks great!
