Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job This standard magnet acts like any other cadence magnet so should work with any system. I actually bought this one to go on my second bike with a Sigma head unit and sensor and it works a treat. The sticker on the other side of the magnet is not enough to keep the magnet in place alone (pretty sure it isn't designed to) but is enough to keep it in place while you fit the zip-tie, stopping it moving around and out of line with your sensor. Once tight it shouldn't be going anywhere. I would also imagine the zip-tie is long enough to go around any crank.

would this magnet work with a garmin edge 500

I can confirm that this will work with the GSC10 speed/cadence sensor while paired to a Garmin Edge 500. I hope this helps.

This isn't designed to be used directly to sync up to a turbo trainer, you would also need a cateye (or other magnet sensing computer) to sync this too.
