I fitted these to my communting bike and they make a huge difference. They are straight which means you have to bend and tape them down a bit if you want to fit them to the top of your bars and towards the hoods but once you put the bar tape on there are no bumps etc. Would be perfect for the drops.

A little more comfort
If you're changing your bar tape, consider putting some of these on. They certainly give you a little more comfort on a long ride.

These make my bike so so smooth on the drops and at £5 they are a real bargain if you're going to change your bar tape anyway!
They are also not too bad to get bar tape over as long as you're firm but gentle and patient.
I would recommend these to anyone if they are planning a long day in the saddle!

A little extra comfort...
Ok, so it's hard to get excited about something that's so small, not shiny, and concealed under your 'bar tape, but I think it's hard to go wrong with these. I've used Fizik's excellent gel pads for a while on my road bike, but I didn't fancy shelling out the sort of money that would buy a decent new tyre when trying to improve my comfort on the 'cross bike. Especially as a decent tyre would arguably make more difference, and also given the likelihood of damage caused by my propensity for falling off in 'cross races. These Cinelli pads proved to be ideal. They're inexpensive, soft enough to take the worst sting out of the bumps, and still firm enough to retain a direct, controlled feel through the bars. I bought two sets, and found that the pads are easily flexible enough to do the tops as well as the drops, for all round comfort. They add next to no weight, and are easy to install. Get some, you really won't regret it!

Great for uneaven surfaces
I now have these on 3 bikes, although I place them on the bar tops unlike in the photo. Originally bought for the Tour of Flanders Cyclo. They really make a difference in absorbing vibrations and minor pothole hits.

Wish I'd bought these earlier!
Great product, easy to install. Bought, tried, and then bought another set for my winter bike.
Comfy and saves me using two wraps of bar tape.

gel pads - no need for gloves!
love these gel pads, especially on long rides when I want to take off my gloves! No problems with numbness, etc. Combined with my cinelli cork tape, these pads are awesome! I bought two pair, put one pair on the drops, one on the curve near the brake hoods. Works great!

Where I live, even the bicycle routes are really bumpy. For an average, hobby cyclist (like me) this product gives more comfy on heavy roads
03 July 2016
Bought these as I get numb fingers and sore shoulder on long cycles ,just did 180k cycle and found these pads a great relief ,I didn't fit them got my tech to do that so don't know how the were to fit.

Alright, but added nothing
Maybe i expected too much from these plucky gel pads, but alas - it wasn't to be. I'm not saying they detracted from the quality of my ride, however they added virtually nothing. I feel very little difference from when I didn't have them on. Unfortunately I can not recommend this product

BUY IT! Super cushioning without the bulk
Puts handlebar cushioning where you need it without the bulk of a typical handlebar tape. Can be cut to fit; the gel inside is not a liquid; though soft it will not run out of the cut product. Have fitted this to the bars and wrapped in matt black hockey tape (ie, no additional cushioning) to provide a superb fit which almost moulds itself to your grip each time you change hand position. Excellent.Go non-mainstream, be individual and buy some.

Fantastic addition to my handlebars
I thought I would add these when rewrapping my bars.
Add loads of comfort and protect against road buzz. Very easy to install.

do exactly what they say
very robust they don't feel like they would burst quality

I ride a lot in the mountains in CA which means really bad roads. this really saves your hands when riding over broken pavement.
12 April 2016
Bought two of these for my tandem but tried a set first on my road bike. First impression was good, but then after wrapping Cinelli cork tape I found that the pad on the top section of the bar felt very "pointy", giving only a small point of contact with my hands. The pads on the drops felt good though.
However, after only a couple of hundred km the pad on the drops began to "walk" sidewards (despite being held in place with electrical tape) and as a consequence my bar tape unravelled.
I've now opted for another, more expensive, make with a broader point of contact.

I tried double wrapping but found the bar too bulky.
I tried Phat tape but found it wore out qickly and was bulky in the wrong places.
These little gel pads mean you can position the comfort to suit you under normal bar tape - perfect and much more customisable. And they cost peanuts.

Easy to fit and adjust before taping.
Couple of rides out and they feel good and take out the road rumble
Fitted to both tops and hoops on a Specialized Venge.

good enough for all my bikes
Vibration damping is so good that I've got this on all my bikes, including the carbon Synapse with Easton carbon bars; yes, it even makes a difference on that!.
Easy to fit, so long as you are competent at wrapping bar tape. The gel is tacky enough to hold in position and can be stretched and manipulated around bends; don't over stretch it or you will lose some of the benefits. May even be trimmed with scissors.

a relief to my arms!
The gel takes the shock out of my arms on my cyclocross bike
16 February 2016
Best way to smooth out an alloy bike!
i bought these for my track bike to try & solve the problem of my hands going numb (bars are too low) - they didn't solve that problem, but they really take the buzz out of your bars, would be a good option if your thinking of riding cobbles!

These pads really help to absorb rugged roads on my daily commute. Would recommend this product!

Difficult to say whether this is a good product
Recently brought a cross bike and got these to offer more comfort on long rides / rough buzzy surfaces.
I've only given them an average rating as it's difficult to say whether they have actually made any discernible difference? However my uncertainty could mean they are quietly making a difference.
The most obvious downside is the pads aren't shaped to fit the bar tops. A bit of bending and shaping did the trick before taping the bars.

Works really well easy to apply, has good feel to it as well just enough give to.
09 August 2015
Good price but....
Not a bad product and a great price but not quite as good as the Fizik Technogels
07 August 2015
Buy 2 sets, one for on the bar tops, one for the drops. You don't need longer bar tape. Huge improvement in comfort for small price. definitely recommended.
22 July 2015
Good fit, I'can't tell there is a big improvement
Good fit under the tape, I can't really tell that it makes a big improvement in comfort
28 June 2015
great product and nicely compact
Light weight and well shaped for a comfortable ride even before I'd added the brakes and grip tape :)
23 June 2015
Small price big performance
Bought this along side some gel cork bar tape to make my bars as comfortable as possible and boy what a great little product. I put mine along the top of the bars where I do most of my riding. If you ride bumpy poor surfaces this product is well worth getting.

Great fixed problem
I've had saw elbows for ages, I was very sceptical that these would make a difference but at the price thought it was worth a go. I've had them a few months now and no more aches.
05 June 2015
Excellent and very comfortable
So easy to use - I combined with Conelli cork gel bar tape - and makes a huge difference, especially when you consider the pummeling your hands, wrists and elbows normally get from out potholed roads.
Incredibly easy to fit (they're self-adhesive), and highly recommended.

Additional information about Spork could not be loaded.
The underside does have adhesive tape on them and when I first applied them I had to remove them and refit in a different position, so it is sticky but not stuck to the extent of never coming off in one piece.
When you say over the bar tape - I would not recommend that as they would come off.
I bought two packs and fitted one to the drops and the other on the top of my bars but under the tape. Job done.
Additional information about ZoofMan could not be loaded.
I would route them round the curves, rather than cutting them; if you angle them slightlly towards you where you're likely to be resting your weight, then they will naturally go round the edges on the outside of the first bend.
I found that you pack them tightly anyway, so you may get away with only one roll if you use them just on the drops. I put a pair on top on the flat part of the bar as well so used two rolls of tape (although there was some left over) so try it.
