Improvement on OEM tyres
Fitted to my sons 20" Islabike - so much better than the OEM tyres fitted for winter riding. Good grip, can run quite low pressure and seem pretty robust so far.

Not bad. But better options exist
Bought this for my sons islabike. They arrive with Maxis Small Block 8 tyres which are next to useless off-road and have low volume. I bought these contis for the grip. They do have a good, chunky tread pattern and look like they will clear well but they're quite heavy for their size and again have a low fill volume. They look like a 24 inch cyclo cross tyre. I've since bought a pair of folding rocket rons. Much better volume and almost 200g lighterer tyre with a pretty good tread pattern. They do cost a lot more though and I struggled to find a UK supplier. Bought them from Germany in the end.

good value
I bought this tyre for my 7 year old grandson's bike, the third one I have bought . It is for our off road trips and the tyre provides good grip in dry or wet conditions. The tyre is easy to fit to the wheel, despite the wired bead.
The only problem is that he skids the rear wheel sideways all the time on the road outside his house ("doing stunts" he says). Consequently he wears out the centre knobs very quickly. So it is a good job that they are cheap tyres!

Best option for kids MTB
Bought this for Isla bikes Beinn 20, cheaper than buying direct. Used over the summer for trips around various trail centres. Tyres perform well, good grip, light and no punctures so far.
Not many options in this size, so these are recommended.

Decent tyre for a young 'un
These get used on road and off - they're grippy enough off road in all but really muddy conditions, but not too draggy or heavy for school run roads. Great for the price, too.

the tyres were what I wanted and fit well
The tyres are very good value for money. I have a folding bike which came with 'urban' tyres. I have managed to fit these fatter tyres after removing the mudguard. They have good tread and I have now cycled along rough paths that I would not have attempted with the original tyres.

Excellent tyre for kid's bike
Bought these for my son's Islabike as he is progressing to more technical terrain than the original tyres were good for.
They are light enough, tough & yet supple enough for his lighter body weight & when running at low pressures stay seated on the rim well

Not quite as good as they good be
As other reviewers have mentioned, these were bought for my sons 20" wheels, to enable him to ride better and have more fun off road. From that perspective I have no hesitation in recommending them. Cannot comment on durability but I'm sure for him they'll be fine.
My biggest criticism is I found them almost impossible to fit. He has an Islabike and maybe it's a peculiaratity of there wheels but I struggled to fit them. It was only with the help of my LBS that I fitted them. Having said that I am no mechanic so if you are, you may well find it much easier. If not, prepare for endless rounds of swearing, cups of tea and very sore thumbs!
Would I buy them again? Yes.

Good kids mtb tyre
Bought these for my son’s 20” Isla bike for winter and mtbing as the standard factory fitted tyres not much good for off road use, particularly in winter. They fit fine, but not the easiest to put on. Offer good grip on muddy tracks and wet roots & rocks. Lots of space between the knobs so tend not to get clogged up. Enough volume to help protect the rims, and offer a bit of cushioning. Cannot comment on longevity yet. He loves them, but gets annoyed he cannot skid as much with these :-)

Cheap and Cheerful
My youngest likes to skid the rear wheel. Over time this repeated action compromised his ability to climb where grip was limited.
He is within months of outgrowing his 24" MTB, so I wanted something cheap and in possession of some tread depth.
This product met both my criteria. Hurrah!
My son likes this tyre. he also likes cake and chocolate and scaring me half to death with his riding.
The tyres are OK. if you need some for not-entirely-serious off-roading for a youngster, get these.

Good Performing Tyre
I bought this for my son's bike so he could start doing a bit of off roading.
We recently rode a trail with some muddy bits and it seems to grip well and shed mud effectively.
Good performing tyre at a reasonable price.

OK tyre
These are OK tyres and the easiest to get hold off MTB tyre for children's bikes. I have had them on both 16" and 20" bikes. The 16" ones are about the only 16" mtb tyre you can get. However at 20" personally I think the Kenda Small block 8 is a much better tyre and I have moved over to that for the following reasons:
The kenda is available in three width's and has a much bigger air volume giving much more suspension, which is very important when fitted to bikes with a rigid fork. Its also lighter and much easier to fit.
Normally I am a great fan of Continental, but I think you can do better that these.

Continental Explorer tyre
Bought as a cheap and chearful tyre for sons bike as he loves skidding on a hard surface and wears out tyres. For him this was probably not the best choice of tyre. The centre tread of the tyre consists of raised bobbles; which although they give the tyre a good depth are spaced too far appart allowing the unraised tread to be easily worn.

Tough Tyre
Fantastic puncture resistant tyre with heaps of grip. I would recommend this tyre for any child's bike- these tyres can sure take a thrashing from a keen 11 yr old mountain biker!
Due to their ability to hold a slightly higher air pressure (from the skinny profile), they tend to be better at resisting punctures than quite a few wider profile tyres. For me personally a massive plus as I found kids seem to be the experts at finding thorns and broken glass. With these tyres you'll find you'll be repairing a lot less punctures than with those stock tyres!

A good tyre
Not much choice really for what amounts to a coice of tyre for a childs bike.Having said that, this is a quality tyre at a good price, and of course being wiggle it arrived the next day. (I did check on EBAY and once you add the postage wiggle is cheaper)

great tyre!
I bought this for a six-year-old's bike....he had burned a bald spot in the original tyre by skidding to a spectacular halt each time he applied the brakes. It's early days for this tyre, some of the knobbles have worn off but it looks a much better tyre than the original one.
