Use on hardtailHi, this product doesn't work for me because it mounts to the seat post and doesn't move with the suspension so on a full suspension bike I needed to mount the mudguard too far away from the wheel so that when landing off big jumps the tire wouldn't hit the mounting. I have destroyed 2 of these mudguards this way.
That is NOT to say they wouldn't work for someone who doesn't do jumps. I needed an all round mudguard so switched to a mud hugger.

Just the jobI never thought I would fit mud guards to a MTB but I fitted these to my old MTB which has cantilever brakes. Fitting is straight forward but the rear mud guard did look a bit out of place - due to the brakes I couldn't lower it down as close to the wheel as I would have liked and it looked oversize and unsightly. I planned to modify the rear guard by cutting it a bit shorter and making a small semi circular cut out where the brake mount was so I could angle it down a bit more. But after going out a couple of times and being kept absolutely clean of back wheel crud I have decided not to make any changes to the length. When riding you don't even notice they are there except sometimes catching it when you remount. .They do the job very well even if the rear mud guard looks oversized.

Good valueGood value but unless your bike is a 29r the back guard looks very big. I bought for a 27.5 wheel but spoiled look of bike as the back one was too large. I put them on my 29r and they fit and look much better. No complaints as very cheap for a set of mudguards.
YES, everything is supplied to fit them to your bike

Will the front mudguard fit a Specialised Rockhopper, the diagonal tube isnt round.
Asked by: martinhodges
the front guard comes with elastic bands that feed through holes and attach to hooks on the underside - so it doesn't matter what shape your diagonal tube is !! full fitting instructions are on the packaging.

Does it work with pannier rack?
I wish to know if this mudguard works with a pannier rack (for rear wheel). If not, what other brands would work?
Asked by: Kin1106
Yes I have this mudguard (or one which looks exactly like it!) and I use it with my pannier rack on my commuting bike.

Will these fit Specialized Sirrus 2011 Hybrid Bike
I'm worried that the tube is more oval than round
Asked by: JBFortune
The catcher attaches using 2 pretty strong bands, however, in order for it to remain in place, the portion of your bike facing forward to the ground doesn't have to be circular. Oval wouldn't be a problem.
