The Italian built Artisan frame is a gorgeous 100% carbon road bike by De Rosa. Manufactured from high modulus carbon fibre, and complete with a full carbon tapered fork, it comes complete and is ready to race the moment unpacked. Shimano Ultegra 11 speed groupset is featured throughout this entry level bike and has a pair of Fulcrum Racing 5 clincher wheels to suit. 3T also features as regards the finishing kit and completes this bike off nicely. And of course like any De Rosa it looks amazing and will be the pride of your club run!
De Rosa Frame and Fork:
The De Rosa tuned geometry strikes the perfect balance making it excellent for head down racing or just embarking on an epic sportive ride. Manufactured from high modulus carbon fibre, the frame is light, yet stiff. The bike, with its stunning and head-turning graphics, features some of the latest design innovations and components. Shimano supply the groupset thanks to their Ultegra Di2 11 speed and Fulcrum supply the wheels which are wrapped with Continental UltraSport tyres. With 22 gears (electronic) available to you, you should find a gear for every cycling occasion or challenge.
Shimano Ultegra 11 Speed Groupset:
The R838 comes supplied with Shimano's Ultegra 11 speed groupset which performs extremely well with a push of a lever. Shifting is flawless and precise delivering outstanding operational performance everytime. Braking is also excellent with strong and progressive action being delivered to the rims. The levers provide excellent hand comfort, when on the hoods, with all controls in easy reach of your fingers. The chainset is also Shimano and comes in the form of a compact, which makes life that bit easier when the terrain starts to get hilly.
Ultegra takes the latest technology from Dura Ace and provides it at a much more competitive price and is ideal for the real world riders who want good performance. For many years it has been the backbone groupset for many and offers much of the functionality from the top-of-the-line Dura Ace groupo.
Drivetrain Offering:
As mentioned, the R838 comes fitted with Shimano's Ultegra chainset and in the form of a compact (52x36). Couple this with the rear cassette and you have a good mix of gears (22 to be exact) that will enable you to climb the steepest of hills with relative ease and/or to thrash down that favourite piece of road at full speed.
Wheels and Braking:
A pair of Fulcrum Racing 5 wheels comes supplied with the R838 and these comes wrapped with a pair of Vittoria Rubino Pro tyres. These wheels offer excellent reactive acceleration, ample traction and stability in the corners, and ideal for trading pulls at the front of the pack or tackling a tricky technical descent. Well known for it's performance, the Racing 5's are a great set of wheels that accompany the R838 nicely.
The Finishing Kit:
3T supply the components needed for the R838's finishing kit. The bike has 3T Ergonova handlebars, a 3T ARX stem, and a 3T Ionic carbon inline seat post and in turn has a Prologo saddle perched on top. A great finishing kit bundle that gives you complete comfort and reliability whilst out on the roads. You also get an Elite bottle cage included with the bike.

Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.
Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.
Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.
