First Impressions can be Misleading In the eternal search for the perfect socks I decided to try these. I already own the Defeet Woolie Boolie socks which are warm and good quality wool but too thick for everyday use, hence I tried these. My first impression was poor - they were very thin, quite rough material which wasn't what I was thinking at all. I put them on and soon forgot all about them. They were remarkably comfortable and surprisingly warm given how thin they feel. The merino wool does the usual tricks (don't smell, stay warm when damp, doesn't booble). I've been wearing them regularly now for over a month and they are wearing extremely well. The intial roughness is gone (though never felt rough on my feet) and they hold their shape extremely well. They are warm enough and breathable so for casual wear can be worn all year around. Top quality. One small piece of advice - they hold their shape very well and aren't very stretchy so make sure you order them big enough (if in between sizes go for slightly bigger) as I can imagine them being uncomfortable if slightly too small. 28 March 2016

My fave socks I wear these all the time because they last ages, they are good for all seasons except real extremes and they don't smell for ages. when you take all that into account they are great value. 29 June 2015

Perfect 4 season sock These are warm enough for mild winter days in Sydney but not bulky. Like the high top too. Very comfortable and great value. Will buy more 14 June 2015

Warm sock, perfect sock height too Extra warmth is provided from the merino material, still a slim sock so cycle shoes don't feel too tight. Great sock height, great defeat product. 20 June 2014

Still my favourite socks happy to find these on wiggle once again.. my previous pair are still going strong despite lots of washing & wearing. Great for everything cycling hiking & general wearing with boots/trainers for warm toes 01 March 2014
