When the weather is doing it's worst to keep you from riding with wind and rain, it's time to don your dhb Classic Rain Shell Jacket. The high waterproof performance and high breathability comes at incredible value.
Nice fit, so far so good in the wet
Great jacket for the price. Have survived a few heavy downpours and stayed dry so I'm happy.
Enjoy the fit because there is no flapping in the wind. Good value.

Great value but folds poorly
This jacket has protected me from harsh Dutch weather and fits very well over the rest of my kit. My only complaint is that it's pretty large when folded into the bag, but I fold the bag once more and tie a rubber band around it to fix it.

Great length - arms and back
A really good rain jacket. great length down the back which is a bonus as they sometimes scimp there. packs down well into my bag.
as always they are a tight fit - so always look to go an extra size up - unless you like it "snug"

very decent jacket at a fair price
Have been out on the bike wearing this jacket for some hours at a time in very wet conditions. It did a good job. Keeps the wet out well. Not excessively clammy inside, even pushing the pace - indeed ventilation seems pretty good. Nice and light too so it fits in a jersey pocket OK. Only criticism, given that conditions tend to be murky when it's raining, a choice of bright colours/hi-viz would be nice.

Dry times all year round
This dhb rain shell jacket is the perfect accessory for cyclists to carry at all times. It is extremely lightweight and can be folded into a very small size to go into a jersey pocket, and yet will protect against light to moderate showers. A must have for winters in Australia, or all year round in the UK ;-) this jacket is wonderful value and I highly recommend it.

Doesn't pack down that well but cycled 300km in mixed weather in this jacket.
Its good for the price, breathable too.

Good fit but not so breathable
I bought this for commuting mainly. I wanted a packable jacket that I could throw on in a down pour.
The jacket looks good (a nice change) and has a decent amount of reflective detail across the chest and on the sleeves. The fit is good - I am 190cm and bought an XXL. The collar is nice and high and the fleece lining makes it comfortable. It does a good job of keeping wind and rain out too.
However, there are a couple of negatives.
1. the jacket is packable and stuffs into it's own pocket - but it is not a very small pack and not very jersey pocket friendly.
2. It is not very breathable. There are no vents of air-holes. So when riding in the rain on a warmer day, I was probably as wet inside the jacket through sweating as I was on the outside from the rain. A vent in the back or air-holes under the arms would make a significant improvement.

Blocks wind and rain
It's a decent jacket, a little expensive for what it does but it does it well. I spent 5 hours on the bike in the rain and it held up well, it can get very hot though so I wouldn't recommend it unless the rain is persistent. The rear zipped pocket is a nice feature too.
I got a small, I'm 173cm and 68kg, fits perfectly. Rolls up nicely to fit in your jersey pocket too.

Not fully waterproof
I bought this jacket on the strength of the review on Roadcc in which the reviewer claims he wore the jacket in a deluge and that no rain got through. All I can assume is he was either lying or he tested a different jacket to the one I bought!
I wore the jacket today in constant heavy-ish rain and it was great for maybe the first 8 miles with the water beading on the surface. The longer I went though, I noticed the material getting darker (got the red jacket) then I could feel the inevitable happening. After 12 miles the rain had pretty much seeped its way in all over.
The plus side to the jacket is that although it was wet and windy today, it wasn't exactly cold and I never got too hot, the breathability isn't too bad, just got a bit clammy. It was warm enough that I didn't wear gloves today so I wonder if the water getting through would be a problem when it is really cold and wet and windchill sets in? It also fits and looks good. Also it will obviously make a good windproof in the colder months so long as it's dry.
The conclusion for me is that the jacket will be fine for commuting to work in the rain up to 10 miles or long rides with on/off light showers, but I wouldn't wear it for a long ride if there was going to be constant rain. Overall not a bad jacket, but definitely not fully waterproof.

Light, keeps you dry, reasonably packable
This fits me perfectly. I wear Large for dhb ASV/Aeron and Medium for dhb Classic, so I bought the Medium sized jacket. It's just ideal, close enough of a fit that it won't flap too much in the wind, but large enough that it doesn't cling on to my body. I could do with an extra inch on the sleeves, but I have long arms and have the same complaint for most jackets. There's a decent drop on the back to cover your bum when you're on the bike. The front sits quite high but that means its in a good position once you're in the saddle.
I bought the red colour, which is nice and gives extra visibility. It's more of a crimson colour, rather than the bright red used by other dhb kit.
I've worn this for short rides in constant rain (2 hours) and on a longer ride with on and off heavy rain (7 hours). It kept my dry so it worked perfectly. The seams are well taped and its close fitting around the neck, helping keep water out. The neck is fleece-lined so it's comfortable. On the longer ride, I found it quite quick to dry to stop it wetting out. It also seems to breathe well, although I haven't worn it for really hard intervals yet.
The jacket stuffs into its own back pocket, helping to compress it down to fit in a jersey. As other reviews have suggested, the pocket is larger than it needs to be, which limits how much you can pack the jacket down. However, you can easily squeeze the air out and stuff it into a jersey pocket without bother. I normally wrap it around my mini-pump then stick it in the middle pocket of my top.
In summary, this is a good top and the price makes it really good value. It works well in the rain, it fits well, and it's light enough and small enough to stuff in a pocket in case you need it.

Excellent rain / windstopper jacket
Great product at a great price. Fit is excellent (5'10" , 42" chest ,35" waist -Large is a perfect fit ) .No flapping in the wind .Fits well over the top of a long sleeved roubaix jersey.
Only slight criticism is build up of moisture on bare arms but hey it is a rainproof jacket .

Great lightweight waterproof jacket!
Bought this a while back and have used it in the pouring rain, it is totally waterproof, and very comfortable to ride in. Pretty much only use it in the wet weather as it is air tight and very warm especially on long rides, but absolutely superb in the cold and wet. Would definitely recommend.

Looks good, fits well; keeps the worst of it off
This is a great addition to my cycling wardrobe. It kept the water off in a recent downpour and reduced the wind-chill on a more lengthy Peak District descent. It also looks stylish and comfortably fits in a jersey pocket. Great item for the quick on and off summer showers.

Lightweight and comfortable
Light and comfortable jacket while water proof and breathable.

This jacket is lighhtweight and warm
It's a great jacket for the price. Agree with previous reviewers that it doesn't seem particularly breathable and could definitely do with some air vents. On the counter side, it keeps you warm!

On the big side
I bought an Extra Small but sent it back as it was too baggy and would flap in the wind.
I'm 5'6" and about 10stone
That said, it looks to be really well made and a nice piece of kit.

Great for the price and great service from Wiggle
Good light jacket that folds up small and fits in your back pocket.

A great jacket from dhb
This jacket feels and looks great. Wore it for the first time today in some really cold but then warm and then cold again conditions and it performed brilliantly. Never too hot but also kept off the wind chill really well.
Very stylish and a good fit.

Light and good fit
Light and goodfitted (185/72kg size M). Seems to protect you well from cold wind and a fairly heavy rain.
Not the best breathable material, but you can't get both :)
Easy to fold to your back pocket

Really pleased with this
Excellent fit, arms long enough to go over the cuffs of your gloves and elastic strong enough to stay put on descents. It's extremely lightweight and i had no issues with the rain coming in. A feature not mentioned in the specification is the lining is a "foil" effect giving an extra bit of warmth. The drop tail is sufficient to keep the worst of the spray off and it easily fits in a jersey pocket
the stuff pocket could do (as mentioned in a previous review) with being a tad smaller to aid compression, but it's not a huge issue. Main downside given it's not breathable is the lack of vents; pit vents would be most welcome!
I honestly think you'll struggle to find a better waterproof for £50

I used this item for the first time and was immediately impressed.
Even with the heaviest part of the rain, I stayed dry. I had the jacket on for the best part of 90 minutes and I didn't experience any of the usual clammy inside feeling.
It stores away in its own pocket but can even fold up and fit in your jersey pocket.

Good fit, kept me dry-ish in heavy rain
Love the fit of this jacket, the length at the back is perfect as well as fitting well all over so no flapping in the wind.
Went out in heavy rain to really test this jacket and it stood up well. Was slight moisture on the inside but this was probably a mixture of perspiration and rain. Unless you're wearing a bin bag you're always going to get some rain in.
Overall I am quite pleased, my only criticism is that the pouch it folds into is far too large. The jacket rolls up extremely small but the zip pocket is at least double the size so causes air and really fills up your pocket.

Just what I needed
Had initially bought the dhb Cosmo jacket but was concerned with the length of jacket at the rear so sent it back...Not the case with this jacket. Seems to be a very similar construction to the Cosmo but its approx 2 inches longer at the back which is a much better fit. I also much prefer the red as this should be more visible to drivers. Haven't yet worn in heavy rain but reckon it should perform ok. Packs up into its own stuff pocket which makes it a bit easier to then fit into back pocket of jersey. Overall, very pleased with the jacket. Overall fit is great too with no flapping material. For the price, its a no-brainer.

Open the rear pocket, stuff your hand inside, grabbing the jacket, and "pull" the jacket in too the pocket. Almost folding it inside out. So piece by piece you work the jacket in to the pocket. Then you zippit and of you go :)
My chest is 38.5" and waist 36". I am not sure whether the M-size is suitable. In the sizing, it mentioned this is a performance fit and use of stretch fabric. 1) does this jacket use stretch fabric 2) What size would be recommended? I prefer a fit without material flapping when riding. 3) Are there any ventilation? The description mentions extremely high breathability.
