Description

Coming in at a price that it will be hard to not make this a must have piece for your three season wardrobe. Forgoing the more expensive waffle fleece material on its more expensive brother Momentum Jersey, this allows the garment to come in at a really great price. Using a high quality brushed polyester fabric it will ensure that the user remains warm and dry over the period of exercise. The rear has the Classic configuration of three vertical pockets but with the addition of the centre zip pocket to safely store those valuable items. The Core S Jersey comes in dhb’s classic cut and so has a little bit more room for the none racing cyclist, while still retaining a distinct Road Bike feel.
Reflectivity comes on the forearms, useful for signalling in traffic, and just below the hem line on the pockets. Placing it there means that a courier bag or a backpack will not obscure the reflective trim. Coming with a full length, lock down, YKK zip this allows both maximum options on ventilation while the simple pleasure of putting the garment on in the morning is a lot easier.

Customer Reviews

dhb dhb Core S Jersey 4.4 5 178 178
I bought this jersey in a small size, I'm 172cm tall, 36" chest, 64kg and it fits really well. Its relatively lightweight Roubaix material good for typical spring temperatures with a short sleeve base layer underneath and strikes a good compromise between warmth and breathability. The design is slightly dated with some pretty agricultural seams, but it has some nice features and is amazing value for money, so would deninately recommend it to budget conscious cyclists. 20 May 2014
spring/winter cycle top The size was just perfect for me. I have a 36" chest and it is a good snug fit, long enough at the back and very comfortable. 17 April 2014
Great value Bought for my son. He loves it but should be available in flouro. 21 March 2014
Long sleeve top for little money Cheap as chips and has kept me warm all winter when usual top and arm warmers not enough. I wear this over a long sleeve undergarment/mesh vest and have been out in all weather and all temperatures this winter. Perfect for the job andthe cheapest i could find 14 March 2014

Answer:
I bought this as a Spring jersey and I'd say that's about right. It does keep the chill at bay, but it's not wind proof so the Winter wind could make things a bit cold. However, if you have something else to put over the top, it might be ok.

Spring/fall rather than winter. In winter, you would want a base layer and/or wind jacket over this.

As long as you wear a long sleeve undershirt this is OK in winter, I have worn this in 5 degrees C with an under shirt and it is fine. If it is really cold then it may be better to have a wind proof jacket over the top.

Hello Drewk1. The size chart says I needed L. I found it far too small & returned it (At my own expense, Wiggle policy) Grrr!
I then got XXL which is OK. I am nowhere near 46 chest. I suggest you consider ordering one or two sizes above yours and being prepared to pay to return unwanted ones or go to a shop & try them on!! Maybe this is why they're cheap?

I would recommend going for the medium as it will give you the length you require however the small will offer a righter fit.

I would say the medium would be best as cycling gear is naturally smaller so will fit correct with your chest and waist.

Are they meant to tight around the chest?

Just took delivery of one yesterday and tried on, sleeve length is fine however it's more than snug around my chest..

I've read about concerns/issues with the sizing of these in general but as have never worn one before wondered if they are meant to be tight around chest.

Thanks.

Answer:
It should be comfortable but not too tight. This jersey is not meant to be a 'form' or slim fit, so is a little more roomy.

If it is tight on your chest to the point of restriction then you wont get a base layer option, and it may affect your breathing. Sounds like you need to go up a size.

Answer:
I would go for the medium size. It's a comfort fit, although the sizing guide from DHB says slim. The only consideration is waist size since the Large, which i chose is snug on the waist as expected with the silicone grippers and i'm on the upper end of the medium size range, using their chart.
