Description

Advanced Padding and Central Cut-Out

To help with taking pressure away from sensitive areas, Ergon added OrthoCell® inlays and a cut-out to the saddle’s central area. Using this advanced material in the middle of the saddle has the comfort of gel inserts but with a lot less weight and maximum reset force. In addition to this, the saddle has easy slide flanks that reduce friction on the thigh area for efficient pedalling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saddle I've been suffering from truly terrible soreness for a couple of years (skin rubbed raw, stinging in the shower, that sort of thing) and this is the first saddle I've tried which appears to have solved this problem. I've only been using it for about a month (on my winter road bike) but so far the signs are very good. The hole, although not huge, does help reduce soreness and the flat shape at the back really supports the bum cheeks so that the sit bones don't feel bruised. I think it has just the right amount of padding to make it comfortable without being too soft/hard. It's expensive so buying one might it feel like a gamble but I got mine in the sale at less than half price, and I'm just about to buy another one for my summer bike. Oh, and it looks very attractive too, in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I think I've finally found a comfortable saddle for myself in this one. Have tried several others from Fizik, Selle Italia, Selle SMP, Specialized but none have dealt with pressure discomfort at the front on long rides even though some saddles claimed to be female specific. But this one actually does what it says - alleviates the discomfort while leaning on the drops. The back end supports the seat bones excellently by being honest about the size - the sides aren't steeply curved like some other saddles, thus reducing the actual sit bone sitting area and making you sit between them, not on them. The front has a rather stubby nose, which is more comfortable for me than narrow male oriented nose shapes. And I don't know what it is about it, the cutout, the shape or the padding but all together it deals with before mentioned discomfort. Other than that I like that this saddle is mostly flat, easy to set up and while being rather short it still leaves a room for shuffling. It's also rather firm, but not bone bruising. And you come to appreciate proper firmness in saddles the harder you ride. Great balance between weight reduction and need for comfortable padding. The quality of the saddle is great too, looks like it will last for a great while. The surface is also a bit grippy, which prevents the unnecessary sliding with some bib shorts. P.S. This all is a personal opinion, of course, as all butts are different and require different saddle shapes.
