This wheelset features a 45mm Deep, Full Carbon Clincher Rim, providing exceptional stiffness, rolling inertia and stability. Combined with the DT Swiss 240 straight-pull hubs, road riding rarely performs more efficiently than this. This all-around capable wheelset is suited to most riding styles and will perform to a surprisingly high-level no matter what challenge you place in front of it. Suited perfectly to Endurance, Cyclocross, long days in the saddle and fast, demanding race day events; this wheelset is superb no matter which route you decide to take.
DARC technology is short for ‘Double Arc’ which refers to the profile of the rim. The revolutionary DARC profile improves aerodynamics dramatically by reducing the drag. Air has the characteristic to stick to its surface and by creating a negative arc section the air will be compressed more at the positive section. This will increase the pressure just like on the topside of an airfoil. Increased pressure results in a faster airflow and less resistance on the wheel which reduces the drag and increases the speed.
The Carbon TC35 is a material characterised by its high strength. This is important in a wheel to add durability and an extra level of stiffness to the wheels which make them easier to turn. The wheels are therefore super robust and superior to other wheels made of other kinds of carbon. This level of durability makes them highly capable of being used in a variety of different environments.
