Fizik's engineers set themselves the task of creating a super-light shoe that made no sacrifices to foot support and pedalling performance. It also had to be incredibly breathable too. The result is the R2 Vento Powerstrap Aeroweave Road Shoes.
Aeroweave Technology
Aeroweave is an innovative woven fabric, interweaving lightweight nylon fibres with filaments of thermoplastic polymer. This combination creates a net-like structure that is highly durable but offers incredible levels of ventilation. Not only that, Aeroweave offers a supple fit, moving and cradling the foot for comfort while retaining the full support you need for a stable and efficient pedal stroke.
Powerstrap Performance
The R2 Vento Powerstrap Aeroweave secure your foot with a simple but ingenious configuration of the traditional strap system.
In order to offer stability and comfort throughout your ride, the Powerstrap system features a lightweight and reliable hook and loop strap system that pulls together the two sides of the upper. However, unlike a traditional system, the Powerstraps fully wrap around the upper. This provides even pressure across the whole foot, the ribbon wrapping around your foot for an unrivalled level of riding comfort. Another benefit is a much more aero finish than a traditional strap system.
R2 Carbon Outsole
The stiffest and lightest sole unit in the Fizik range, R2 Carbon Outsole delivers incredible responsiveness, with power transferred to your pedals with outstanding efficiency. Jump for a sprint or attack a climb and you're rewarded with immediate acceleration - only fitness is holding you back.
Efficient pedalling is also optimised thanks to the cleat track position. This has been set further rearwards to improve pedalling dynamics, reduce knee compression and power transfer - it's especially well-suited to very aggressive, forward aero riding positions.
Cleat Guidance
These Cycling Shoes are compatible with road bike pedal systems that use cleats with 3-bolt standards, such as: Look Delta and Keo, Shimano SPD-SL, Speedplay Light Action, Zero, X-Series (via 3-hole adapter plate), Campagnolo Pro-Fit, Mavic Zxellium, Time Iclic/Xpresso and Time Impact.
