Description

Garmin’s Bike Speed Sensor 2 is easy to install and involves no magnets or exposed parts. The sensor is easy to set up and you can set up wheel size using the Garmin Connect app for improved accuracy. The sensor self-calibrates with an Edge cycling computer or compatible with Garmin devices

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.

Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.

Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked right out of the box A nice simple tool to convert my dumb Cyclops Fluid 2 in to a semi smart trainer. The sensor sync'd with the Garmin app on my phone and to my newly established Zwift account via an old ipad with out difficulty. I've used it 4 times and so far it has connected with out issue and seems to do the job fine. I was pretty sceptical about the value of cycling apps and the eye watering expense of the kit to get you going but this little thing has transformed my opinion, if you have an old trainer and a laptop/ipad knocking about you can get involved for the price of a few decent coffees a week and, for me at least its enjoyable and more motivational than I had expected. To be honest this is probably the best thing I've bought for my bike since the Garmin Edge I have on my road bike. I had not used the Cyclops much over the past 4 or 5 years but this gadget has seen me put more miles in during January that I did all of last year, a really good way to get in to virtual bike riding without shelling out a £1000 for a full fat smart trainer. Probably going to add the cadence senor soon!

I had to replace my speed censor 1 because of water damage due to I believe poor protection from the cover.With the cover on the M2 it has been cured,however if you have to remove from the wheel for whatever reason cut your nails as I found to my regret you can cut the rubber strap that holds it in place just as a precaution everyone.

When I opened the box, I noticed that its notably smaller than the old version. Pairs in seconds with the Garmin E520 and works immediately.

Would this be suitable for a spin bike?

I have a BodyMax spin bike but the computer is broken so looking for something to record distance (although I appreciate I may need to calculate this manually from speed). If you could advice if it is suitable or not for a spin bike that would be great. Thanks.

The sensor wraps around a wheel hub, so if your spin bike has a rear wheel, which I doubt, then it'll work just fine. You may need to enter a custom wheel size for distance and speed accuracy.

Compatibility with Wahoo head unit?

Is this compatible with a Wahoo Element Bolt, can you use the Bolt to set the wheel size etc? I ask because the Wahoo speed sensor seems to have issues with water ingress and going wrong, it’s been suggested I get the Garmin sensor...

Bluetooth Compatibility

The description says this sensor also broadcasts Bluetooth signal. Will it therefore work with the FulGaz training software which only works with Bluetooth.
