Your new foray into mountain biking means a new ride, and you’d probably like to find one that will stick with you as you explore your local trails, beefing up your skills. If this is the case then take a look at the Avalanche range of MTB's.
The Avalanche comes fitted with Promax Decipher hydraulic disc brakes and provides impressive stopping power in wet and dry conditions. This gives you the confidence in knowing that you will stop when you need to. Soaking up the bumps along the trail are a set of SR Suntour forks. These provide 100mm of travel giving you plenty of front end comfort as you hurtle down the tracks/trails. The gearing is taken care of thanks to a mixture of Shimano components and thanks to the triple chainset, and the 9 speed rear cassette, you have 27 gears to play with so finding the right should not be a problem. Climb the toughest of hills, and hurtle down the descents and along the flats - with 27 gears you can.
This classic hardtail from GT also features an aluminium frame with the iconic Triple Triangle(excludes XS and S frame). Originally developed to extend the frame life, stiffen the rear triangle and thus create a faster, more responsive ride, the Triple Triangle™ frame has transcended its role as just another tech story and become an iconic symbol of who GT are and what they stand for.
Ridden by Weekend Warriors and enthusiasts alike, trail bikes balance strength and durability with light weight and reliability, so they are equally at home on the singletrack, the sprint for the finish line or a Sunday thrash with your friends. From the all-day ride ability of the Sensor, to the classic aluminium hardtail approach of the Avalanche and Aggressor, there's a trail bike for whatever you ride however you ride it.
Each Avalanche is fully built, tested and tuned by Wiggle's team of qualified bike mechanics to ensure you're bike arrives in perfect condition. To find out which size fits you use the size chart below.
Sizing Information
The size chart below will get you on the right size bike. Experienced riders may also wish to refer to the geometry chart for more detail.
Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.
