Never drop a chain again... guaranteed!Had this on for 6 months now and chain has never come off. I just have a deore shadow on the back and that thing is twanging about like mad on downhill runs but this ring holds like glue. Chain ring is so lite it feels like something for a kid's bike but neverless it's built to last. Still no wear to the teeth after six months and I've probably covered over 1000 miles on it. Only mistake I made was going too big (34t) with only a 11-36 cassette. Can climb most trails but would have been better with a 30 or 32t. If you're running up to 42+ then 34 on the front would be fine. Makes the bike real quiet too compared to steel rings.

2x10 to 1x10My 2x10 XT chainrings were due for renewal so following some spreadsheet analysis and real world monitoring of actual gears used I decided to give 1x10 a go. Opted for a Hope NW 30T (#buybritish) which was easy to fit and no additional bolts required.
It very much depends on the type of riding you do and location but I have no regrets in making the change.
Pros:
- Noise Reduction on the downhills
- Easier chain cleaning
- Saved some weight
- Cleaner lines
- No loss in performance
Cons:
- None to date

Really worksI'm not sure why but I'm forever dropping my chain on rough ground. Or at least I was until I got this chainring and a clutched rear mech. I run a 1x10 setup with a hope chain guide. Even with the guide I was dropping the chain regularly. I got a 30T one of these and it hasn't come off once. I do think there is slightly more pedal resistance. Like having a slow rolling rear tyre. But nevertheless I would highly recommend.
Does the hope retainer ring come with shorter single ring bolts or do these have to bought separate?
Asked by: Brakey
It doesn't come with bolts, just the chainring on its own.

Diameter of a 36T
Hi I'm wondering if a 36T will fit within the chain guide of a Specialized Turbo Levo. What is the diameter of the 36T please?
Asked by: Jabberwockysnuffpuppy
Hi JWSP,
I've just done exactly this (on a 2018 Levo) and it does fit. However, I would recommend finding a threaded 36T chainring, like the Praxis the Levo comes with, to make life easier.
If you really want Hope, you will need these (only the female bolts, you can reuse your Levo chainring bolts),
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/brand-x-outer-ring-bolts-narrow-7075-alloy/
and this,
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/park-tool-chainring-nut-wrench-cnw2/
and plenty of patience.
Put the chain on the 36T chainring, and through the chain guide, before you attempt fixing the bolts.
Regards.

32T 94?
Hi,
Does the "32T 94" option mean the BCD is 94 mm? or are they all 104mm as listed in the description?
Cheers
Asked by: pinnedraccoon
Sorry for the confusion, every ring is 104 bcd as listed in the description.
