    Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time buying Kool stop for my cyclecross bike. they're got a much longer breakpad than the usual ones from the bike shop (cheap 3.99 ones). Reeally good stopping power - but having just taken them off to change a wheel they don't seem to be more durable - just more effective

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rim brakes are not dead. A worth while investment for peace of mind during wet weather and effective braking. The difference in effectivness between these and budget pads are night and day. Used in conjunction with decent V brakes, braking delivery is progressive and powerful. Be sure to set the pads up to avoid squealing>

    Will these be OK to use on 700c wheels

    As long as the wheels you have a rim wall with a braking surface and you have V brakes.

    Will these fit cantilever brakes?

    I have a 2009 Specialized Tricross Comp which has Tektro wide cantis at the front and narrow at the back - will these pads fit? If not which Kool Stop Salmons will? Cheers

    Yes - I have the same arrangement and they fit fine. There is lots of adjustment on the nuts with different spacers. They are extremely effective brakes.

    Threaded or Stud / Post / Canti

    The Kool Stop site says these are available in both Threaded (which is what the Wiggle ones appear to be) and Cantilevel versions. Do you have the Cantileavel versions? Thanks

    "Pair"

    Not too sure whether a "pair" means two pads for one wheel or two block sets for two wheels? Bottom line I need to replace pads on both wheels. Thanks

    2 pads should be supplied suitable for one wheel. If you require both front and rear brakes, please order 2 sets.
