Rated 1 out of 5 by jimch from WORST PURCHASE EVER difficult to adjust, the leg of the mudguard deformed. complete waste of money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by trh217 from Ok for the price These are ok for the price. They are tricky to set up neatly - but very easy to set up to do 80% of the job. In my case one of the straps broke after a couple of rides and there are no spares which would have been useful. Find they tend to move on the frame quite a bit. I bought these because I wanted something inexpensive but I will probably use ones that utilise the frame eyelets next time and spend a bit more for some better quality ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by iSamurai from excellent value for money, does the job well the narrower version fits 25 mm tyres - just, so you got to make sure it fits precisely. the nut/bolt adjustment is a bit fiddly and you need a spanner but once you set it up properly they remain straight. the design is minimalistic and therefore looks good and dare i say quite hidden on the bike. i've now had this for two years. one thing I don't like is the plastic bracket that came with is hard, which does not conform to the curvature of the seat stay/fork well and thus scratches the paint job and also since it's not rubbery, it doesn't grip well and the mudguards can wobble and become unbalanced every now and then. i understand that this is because the straps hook onto the brackets but if they had a different attachment design or a rubbery part on the bracket, this problem wouldn't exist any more.

    Q & A

Will these fit the Verenti Substance 1.1

Looking at the mudguards it looks like the rear will fit without any problems. The front mudguard looks like it would be hard to fit due to the brake cable routing on the left hand fork leg of the Verenti
    Asked by: RockMeJoe
Yes, this is what I bought mine for

    650 wheels?

My bike has 650 wheels instead of the usual 700, will these still fit?
    Asked by: Jaxter13
These will work on your bike, however you may need to angle the front guard so you it gives enough clearance from the down tube. I hope this helps, have a good day.

    How much clearance is needed?

Hi, I checked the clearance in my bike and there is only 10mm clearance between the front tire and the frame. What you be the minimum clearance recommended for the mudguards to fit? Thank you.
    Asked by: MuriloEQ
I can confirm that as long as you select the correct width for your tyres these will fit in the given space with no issues. I hope this helps,

would these fit a Cannondale synapse 105 alloy 2016?

I don't think my bike has the mudguard eyes so need to go with some clip ons, will these be suitable as they look like great value? Cheers
    Asked by: lloydy187
I can confirm that these do not need the mounting eyelets as these mount directly to the frame and will work perfectly on your bike. I hope this helps.

    Fitting?

The fitting instructions with these are woeful, can someone please share a diagram that would help with the following simple questions: 1. Which mudguard is for the Front vs Back? I am assuming Front = Smaller? 2. Rubber grips go on Front forks facing forwards and fitting into groove of the rubber grips on the metal frame? 3. Rubber straps go around the rear of the fork? Thanks! :-)
    Asked by: NicName
    1. Smaller = front. 2/3. The rubber grippers rest on the frame. Plastic outer sits on the rubber grippers. The plastic outer have small hooks on for the rubber strips that wrap around any fork or seat stay size.
