Description

Full-length mudguards offer the maximum in protection from standing water keeping both you and your bike clean and dry even in the worst conditions.

The LifeLine Wide Mudguard Set features a PET/Aluminium construction with steel wire stays making them lightweight and flexible. The PET/Aluminium construction is also extremely durable and resistant to corrosion and damage from UV light.

Plastic scratch guards on the ends of the mudguard blades provide additional protection. Fully adjustable stays ensure a perfect fit, preventing rattles or fouling on any other components. Low profile stay ends reduce the chances of catching your foot when cornering.

The LifeLine Wide Mudguard Set is compatible with calliper or disc brakes and comes complete with full installation instructions and all mounting hardware.

Please Note: These mudguards are designed to fit bikes with 700c wheels but the metal stays may require cutting with a hacksaw or heavy-duty wire cutters during fitting.

Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great product with one drawback These mudguards are solid and well made for the job. They work fine with my 40mm tyres. The fixing kit which comes with them is universal and helpful. So what's the problem? It's that although they come with two sets of stays on the back, there is only one set for the front. This is insufficient and can cause the mudguard to vibrate and rattle down hills. I even took the time to email the manufacturer asking to buy another set of stays, but they did not reply. Good product, but for having insufficient stays and not returning my email means only 3 stars!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, good value universal mudguards A recent venture out on my usual routes left me covered in muck due to the state of all the roads, so I decided to invest in some mudguards and these looked good if a little confusing on the pictures but were cheap enough. The long stays are just clamped onto the mudguard and can be removed or put in any position needed to suit your bike, I only needed two for the front and two for the back so I had two spares left. I had to make a few alterations for them to fit my bike, firstly the fitting lugs on my front forks are on the back face of the fork rather than the side so I had to bend the front stays 90o in a vice with a hammer - see photo. Also the front mudguard has a vertical fixing point that would usually mount on a lever brake set, however I have a disc brakes so I had to flatten this bit down flat to the mudguard with a hammer and some wood underneath to protect the mudguard, I then drilled a hole through the metal plate so I could put a bolt up into the arch of the fork where the fixing point is on my bike. The finished job looks good, took it for a good off road ride and came back very clean for a change! No rattles at all - very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid & well priced. Easy to fit, took around 30 mins, you’ll need a hacksaw to cut the support bars to the correct size. Nice satin finish matches my frame. They stay in place on long rides. Overall I’m happy with them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay but watch tyre clearance Purchased these for my winter bike. The bike has wtb all terrain 37mm tyres so I thought these mudguards would easily clear them. The larger sks were unavailable so decided on these. The guards only just clear my tyres with a few mm to spare. Bumpy ground is going to have them rattling on the tyres and unsure how stuck on mud/gravel is going to fare. Fitting is fairly straightforward but fiddly as most mudguard fitting is. There’s a good choice of bolts and washers to get a tailored fit. Once installed they are nice and sturdy, hope the nice matt finish lasts okay. Value is good and I’d recommend these as a lower cost sks alternative.

Will these be too wide for 32mm Gatorskins? Disc brake bike (Boardman cx team 2015)

Option 50mm would not be suitable for 32c tyres, the mudguards are designed for 38-47mm tyres.
