The frame of the 3G Potenza is built using 3K monocoque carbon fibre composite construction and features internal top tube brake cable routing, a forged aluminium alloy CNC-machined replaceable rear derailleur hanger, contoured tubing and structured BB and chainstay areas. The fork features bladed carbon legs and a full carbon steerer tube. The bike is pleasingly understated and features a combination of gloss and matt UD finishes and stealthy gloss black decals.
The groupset is a mix of Shimano's 9 speed Sora components and Mekk's own inhouse branded components (chainset and brake calipers). The shifting is reliable changing gears easily and efficiently, whilst the Mekk compact chainset coupled with the large rear cassette enables you to comfortably climb the steepest of hills and still maintain a good fast pace along the flat roads.
The wheelset comes from Shimano too and is the reliable R500 model which is a good spec at this end of the price spectrum. These are wrapped with a pair of Vittoria Zaffiro tyres giving superb grip in all conditions.
For finishing kit you get a Ritchey cockpit and a Prologo saddle. Ritchey are renowned for manufacturing great looking, strong and durable products that won't let you down. This bike is well spec'd, performs extremely well and is capable of taking you further than you've ever been before and in comfort and style.
