excellent for my use
I commute daily 10 miles each way and these have proved to do just what it says on the tin. Maybe not a race wheel but is sturdy and stays true.

Out of True
One would expect a brand new wheelset to be true. One would expect factory built wheels to be subjected to some form of quality control.
Sadly this does not appear to be the case at Miche - in particular with the in-appropriately named Excite wheelset.
I unpacked the wheelset from a relatively unscathed shipping container (so no rough handling) and popped the front wheel on to a ParkTool TS2.2 truing stand fitted with the optional TS-2di dial indicators. The radial alignment was out by 0.8mm and the lateral alignment by 0.7mm.
I was able to adjust the radial to within 0.2mm and the lateral to within 0.1mm which is as close to perfect as these wheels will ever get.
I had been remiss in not videoing the front wheel prior to adjustment, so I popped the rear wheel on to the stand and videoed that . The rear wheel measured radial 0.55mm and lateral 0.4mm.
In addition, the wheels came with no rim tape.
My advice, spend an extra $40 and buy Shimano RS10s

Good wheel for price. Have taken earthquake damaged roads well with no buckling
29 December 2014
Bought these as other reviewers said they were bomb proof, unfortunately I had 3 spokes go within two days when I was miles away from home with no other wheels available I had to take the wheel into a LBS for repair, they replaced the broken spokes and checked the tension on the rest of them. The next day another spoke broke fortunately this was the last day of my journey and I haven't used them since as I just don't trust them enough.

A great budget wheel
I bought these needing a good training wheel that i could also use during low level races.
I have not had a single issue with these. After riding around on bumpy roads they have remained true.

Great set on a tight budget
My 20-year-old Matrix ISO rear wheel decided to finally come apart, so I searched for something comparable for under $200. After all, that's what I had paid for the Matrix ISO back in 1993 when I had to replace it the first time. I only wanted to replace the rear wheel, and I needed a 7-speed so it would fit in my frame, but I couldn't find anything that had decent reviews and had a low enough price. And then I found these, which had both wheels for less than $150. I figured they couldn't be too bad compared to the ISO, given the advances in technology these days, so I took the risk.
So far, the risk has paid off. Weight-wise, they are just a bit lighter than the ISO I had on the rear. The Miche wheels aren't as "aero" as the ISO was, although I think the bladed spokes do really well. It feels strong. The hub rolls pretty nicely, but it's much louder when freewheeling.
On the front, I had a SRAM S27AL, which I absolutaely love. The Miche front wheel is a bit heavier than the SRAM wheel, but the hub seems almost as smooth. The weight distribution is different, as the SRAM has more weight on the rim, and the Miche has pretty even distribution between the hub and the rim.
I love the way they look, although they definitely do not match the grey/teal paint scheme on my bike.
As far as delivery goes, when I ordered them, I was told they would arrive in 10 days. They got all the way to my place in Las Vegas in 4 days. They also were true and undamaged.

you get what you pay for
First time I used them the front hub collapsed ! enough said.

Used wheels on CTC Sunday rides they performed brilliantly up hils and very fast down

Excellent value for money
I bought this wheel set in order to mount spiked tyres on my old hybrid bike, which has 130mm frame spacing for the rear wheel, just like modern road bikes.
With a 7-speed cassette bought elsewhere for less than £15 (currently not stocked by Wiggle), and a cassette spacer, the wheels fit perfectly on the bike. Only some adjustment of the cantilever brakes was needed (obviously).
The rims are made for thin road tyres, but with some effort, I was able to fit the 30c version of http://www.wiggle.co.uk/schwalbe-winter-kevlar-guard-rigid-spiked-road-tyre/ on the rims. Once the tyres are fitted, they do not look too big for the rims.
Tip to Wiggle: Consider stocking the 30c version of the Schwalbe Winter tyres. While I am sure that the 35c version stocked can be mounted to these rims, too, it is probably a bit too big to be an optimal fit. For any 622c bike with 130mm frame spacing and rim brakes, this wheel set allows for separate set of spiked wheels with quick release at a really attractive total price.
In addition to the wheel set, the tyres and the cassette, rim tape and inner tubes are the only things needed in order to get a complete setup.
I do not think it was mentioned anywhere that the rims have safety indicators for rim wear, but they do, in case anyone wonders.
The weight is good for the price. I cannot comment on the rolling resistance of the hubs, as the spiked tyres add a considerable resistance regardless of the hub quality. The freehub is almost silent.

I purchased these to after breaking lots of spokes on my rear wheel. They feel great on the bike, on the flat and especially good on the hills. I know you can spend a lot more on a wheelset, but these feel like an excellent upgrade to the ones that came on my Orbea. They look really smart too.
They don't come with rim tape, but that's a few quid and a 5 minute job later. Really pleased.

very good value
I bought these in the spring and since then ridden about 70 miles a week including the Semaine Federale (560-miles of rural France). They have been treated fairly roughly, carried me and a well packed saddle-bag all the way and are still as true as when delivered. They're not particularly light, but if thats not an issue, well worth the money.

Look fantastic !
Wheels arrived very true and looking great. On weighing the wheelset though, it was clear that they were about 150grams heavier than the specified combined wheel weight. Wheels looked absolutely fantastic on the bike and remained true after a testing first run. All in all, a beautiful looking set of wheels, but a little on the heavy side! Great value for money though !

baught this whealset to replace the whealset that came on my orbea aqua tsr. they are more aero, lighter and look like $1000 wheals. my old 20k tt has turned from a 31.20 to a 29.45 with this whealset wraped in vitoria open corsa tires.and after 500km these wheals are perfectly true.
03 September 2013
Would Have been perfect if it came with some rim tape on. Burst a couple of inner tubes using some rim tape that wasn't strong enough
07 August 2013
Bought these to upgrade my wife's Giant Avail ~ whilst not the lightest they look good, don't cost much and I actually bought a second pair for the winter.
30 July 2013
Great wheel set, low cost
A nice wheel set for a very reasonable price. The streamline spoke not only look good but apparently slice through the air.
22 July 2013
This is a really valuable upgrade
Attractive looking, Fast and Strong wheelset. Just bear in mind that they don't come with rim tape!
17 July 2013
look excellent but quality a as price suggested
They improve massively the look of my Specialized Sirrus but didn't give me more speed compared to the standard aluminium rims I had.
The reason for this is mainly they aren't lighter than my old ones and I suspect the bearings aren't very good.
Anyway you can't ask for more for that price.

Good set of Cheap wheels
I already run these on my CX mares and i have not had any problems with them. I have gone for the same set rather than more expensive ones due to the fact i ride cross and last season i went through a set of wheels. These new ones will be used to run my road tyres and the older ones for cross. In the race season i will put cross tyres on and use as spares. I short i have no snags with these a good quality and fair priced.

this product was an excellent choice
These wheels ride so well, they feel so light while riding
02 July 2013
Great price for a set of commute wheels. just what I needed.
Be aware they do not come with wheel tape, you'll need to buy these separate
20 June 2013
Good commuting wheel
Only using this wheel for commuting. Has survived cold wet winter, remains true and seems strong over pot-holed roads. Still running problem free after regular use for 6 months.
14 June 2013
Great value wheels but require rim tape
So far they seem like great wheels for the price, good value. However they do not have any rim tape and you will need this as the spoke holes will cause punctures before you even ride.
Recommend though as a cheap, value wheel
11 May 2013
Low price high quality wheelset.
Not very bling but these wheels seem very well made and feel strong enough for daily commuting use. They are still a little lighter than my stock wheel set so still feels like an upgrade to me. Only time will tell how these stand up to the rigours of daily use dodging potholes.
16 March 2013
brought these to replace the standard wheels on my 'entry level ' road bike . roll nice and seem well made.
10 March 2013
Unbelievable value for money
These are not the lightest wheels, but the bearings in them more than make up for that. I've used these for a few months now, and they roll much smoother and faster than anything else near this pricepoint. Freewheeling on club rides, these beat everything else in use as winter training wheels. As for trueing - haven't had an issue with them in over 700 miles. A complete bargain
04 February 2013
I ordered these wheels to go on my old bike which I use for winter training. The wheels are strong and good looking, good value for money and I have recommended to a few friends. Great delivery, arrived in a few days half way around the world, great service Wiggle!
21 November 2012
Have had these for 2 weeks(250 km). Feels quite good so far - it was true at delivery and still is true. Best value for money - italian made weels you can find.
23 August 2012
Great set of wheel excellent value.
Great set of wheels for brilliant price feel lighter than described weight and have aerodynamic spokes.look nice on the bike and feel sturdy and respond well. Highly reccomend.

this product is great
I've been using those for my road rides with my bicycle club and they are good, very rigid and great when crossing winds and head winds too. Going to 24-25 miles per hour with my group and they just behave good. I'm not a commuter but here since the gas prices go up and upper, well I've been using them with my carbon road bike to do some chores too ;)

I don't think that 11spd would fit due to the wheelset predating the release of Shim 105 11spd. They are a budget wheelset for use in dry conditions, although I put them on a crosser this winter. But then as a mechanic I have access to new bearings. If you can afford 105 11 spd I would look for a wheel with higher spec.
I got caught in a flood, and I would like to service or possibly replace the bearings in these hubs. However, I cannot find the bearing sizes of these wheels anywhere. What are the size of the bearings for both the front and back hubs?
These wheels should be suitable for use with a hybrid bike however due to the rim width, we would recommend a tyre within the 23-32 mm width range. Also, as these wheels are intended for road use, please bear in mind that they will be suitable for use offer road.
I have a bike with Excite wheels and a 9 speed Miche cassette. Would like to replace the wheels as the bearings have gone in the freehub, Centre Lockring on the Miche hub is the same as Shimano, but I think the Keying for the sprokets is differnet between the two.
According to the instructions, you should have the wheels checked on a regular basis by a qualified mechanic, if you weigh more than 85kg. As long as one pays close attention to the state of the wheels, it is probably safe to load them a bit more. They feel quite solidly built.
