Does what it needs to!
I found these work really well. Not too deep so fit my shoes enough to stop them slipping forward but not so much as to swamp them.
As they're metal they can be thin and light yet they're sturdy enough.

excellent sturdy product
A friend recommended these to me and I am very satisfied with the quality and comfort of the fit on my pedals.

Excellent toe clip
Not yet convinced about using cleats so still use toe clips. In the past I have used full clips but never tightened the straps so the half deep clip seemed a sensible option to try. I teamed these up with a a pair of MKS MT Lux pedals on my new cross bike (used for pleasure cycling on tracks and road). Great combination and clips keep my feet in the right position on the pedals. Very pleased with toe clips and will probably install on my MTB, unless I decide to give cleats a go!

Does what it says on the tin
These work brilliantly - I use mine with MKS GSR9 platform pedals.
Although they obviously don't hold your feet as tightly as full-length toe clips with tightened straps, they are very easy to slip your feet into and out of - invaluable if you need to make an emergency stop.

Perfect for my child
My son is new to road biking and we wanted something before cleats. These are great. Easy to use with trainers

Excellent
Fitted in less than 5 mins.
Light weight.
Provide peace of mind that feet aren't going to slip off pedals, also much safer than cleats especially in busy traffic.

Finally a toe clip deep enough.
Not being one to bolt my feet to the pedals, due to a morbid fear of breaking my hip by falling over sideways at the traffic lights, I have always preferred "open" toe clips. However, the standard plastic ones tend to have insufficient depth for non-specialist shoes such as my regular work-wear or cycling shoes with toe reinforcement..
These deep clips are the answer - they accommodate both my FiveTen FreeRider Elements cycling shoes or a standard working shoe, giving good foot location on the pedal with the ability to get a foot down quickly as required in traffic.
For my size 13 feet I use a small block of wood with a couple of bolt holes drilled through to space the clip about 10mm forward from the pedal.

Good addition
Bought these for my lads cyclo cross bike as he's not got clip in shoes/pedals yet. They work really well, are easy to fit and provide stability for him when riding (up hills especially).

A nice classic touch
They look nice & simple, good quality and design. They fit on a little sized adult feet

Deep and cheap.
Good value, easy to fit. Nice and deep to allow fit of street shoes and boots.

Good basic toe clip
I prefer these to full ciips and straps, having used both.
I like being able to get feet out quickly yet good fit with trainers means efficient pedalling.
So good I got another pair for second bike. No idea if they will corrode - but not expensive.

bought these less than 1 year ago
put these on a bike i don't use regular and expected them to last longer than they did before corroding. Threw them away.

Too big
These are very deep and not as flexible as the previous pair I ordered.

Great product but one size won't fit all
Nice alternative for that extra security in the pedals. Easy to slip into and seem to be good quality construction - nice and shiny too.
Comes with all you need to fit them to your pedals (nuts, bolts & alan key).
Quite short though - I'm a UK9 and fits just right with a trainer, but just too short with a smarter shoe. I reckon a bigger foot might find them too short but they could probably be padded out a bit.
Also quite deep - would probably squeeze in a toecap boot, but I was able to bend them with a firm squeeze to a snugger fit.
I used to use a plastic full toe clip with the strap removed for easy in & out during my commute but these are a lot more secure feeling and you can put a lot more force forwards and upwards on the pedal.

Do the job
Look good and will accept fatter shoes like trainers. Quite short and so place feet fairly short on the pedal. Very light, and with so little material involved good profit involved for the makers.
But, I love them as they are really quite neat.

Simple clip, easily fitted.
Just what I wanted for my town bike. It prevents my feet slipping while wearing trainers and avoids the need for cycling shoes when just nippiong down the road.

FOr somebody that doesnt like cleats
Bought these for my wife, who is not keen on being attached to the bike, and insists on wearing trainers for rides, these are a deal and cheap to, just the job.

Easy to ride with ordinary shoes
I bought these half toeclips after falling off my bike because my foot got stuck in my traditional ones - with the inevitable result.
I am delighted to find that these can be used with ordinary shoes, do well at keeping my foot positioned correctly (My only reason for using toeclips. As a casual recreational rider I don't pull up with one foot whilst pushing down with the other - too much like hard work!), and are extremely easy to locate with the foot and to escape from.
Easy to fit, good quality and good value. Highly recommended.

Does the job
I brought these to go with a new set of MKS CT-Lite Commuter pedals. First time using toe clips, feels much more secure cycling in the rain. Not the greatest of quality but didnt expect much more for the price.

Good for commute and causal ride
Install this, your feet will always in a perfect position on the pedals.
Good for rainy days to avoid slipping. More relax than using toe clip or clip-less. The nickel plate will easily peer off and getting rust.

Keeps your feet in control
Being made of metal its strong, looks good and and does the job very well.

For those who cant use clipless
A great alternative to clipless systems which allow instant exit when you need to put a foot down.
I bought these because I was finding my feet were angling out and it was putting strain on my left knee, the clip keeps my toes firmly pointing forward.
(I cant use clipless pedals as I have a long term ankle injury, if I were to get stuck in clips and fall or wrench the ankle trying to get out of the clipless it would be a big problem.)

This fits perfectly
I have an old road bike (1983) which I am refurbishing and I did not want strap in clips as I was not confident enough to use them. These were the perfect compromise. They fit my retro pedals perfectly, were easy to fit in a matter of minutes and give me the extra power I am looking for in my ride. They look great also. These are a quality product.

Ideal
Perfect for my hybrid, without clips or straps. Gives that extra % power when needed going on an incline. Toes of my runners
(UK10) fit snuggly into the clips. Well made. Sturdy and attach to pedals easily .

works well
Easy to fit. Perfect depth for my big feet (size 13)
20 June 2013
Perfect for commuters wanting extra grip
Bought these for my charge mixer 11. Brilliant for cycling in trainers to work, Keeps your feet well located on the pedals. Only thing is they will scrape on the ground when you're wheeling the bike on foot if you're not careful. Otherwise perfect. If I had a smart fixie I'd opt for the version with leather and get matching bar tape! :)

Good for everyday quick use
These are great if you want the benefit of a toe clip without the faff off the adjustment. I have had mine on for a while and they are great. Only problem is because your foot isnt fastened in, if you drop them down, they can scrape along the floor which creates a cringe inducing noise!
If you want something you can slip your feet into on your way to work or for a casual bike ride - these are perfect.
07 June 2013
excellent product
Good quality and very nice product. I put it on a very old bike and it fits perfectly
05 June 2013
excellent
Does the job. Easy to slip shoes in and out. good value

Easy to fit, easy to use
Bought these with the MT Lux Comp MTB Pedal. They're really easy to get into - no fishing with your toes or spinning the pedals to try to get lucky. The support is as expected - nothing to pull up against, but if you do lift your foot off the pedal the clip keeps you in contact. Dead easy to fit too.
