Review from MBR

Cleaning your chain can be a grubby affair - unless you have a Chain Doc. Using a small bath lined with rubber fins and two revolving brushes, the Chain Doc closes over your chain and then you simply spray chain cleaner into the device and rotate your cranks to pull the chain through.
You can but the chain lube seperately, and you can also use the Doc to lube your chain, enabling it to penetrate every link and keeps things smooth.

In conclusion...

A great chain cleaner that gets your chain very clean, very fast. Good for lubing too.

Review from Cycling Plus

Chains accumulate a lot of dirt and grime which, if ignored, turns into a very costly grinding paste particluarly on multi-geared derailleur systems. Cleaning kits of this kind are not a new idea...while traditionalists might argue a 50/50 petrol/deisel mix and 'radiator' paint brush is considerably cheaper, this is arguably much better for the environment, and is less messy is time consuming, especially if you have a fleet of bikes.

In conclusion...

Now there's no more excuses for a dirty chain.

Muc-Off Chain Doc Chain Cleaner is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 128.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Magnitio from If you have three hands, it's great Find it difficult to use at times, especially as the tube between the can and the chain cleaner keeps coming off. If you have three hands or someone available to turn the crank, it's a lot easier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JohnCCC from A bit awkward to use but seems to clean well A bit awkward to use as the chain catches on it a lot instead of slipping through evenly, the little spray tube sometimes slips down into the cleaner mechanism and stops the brushes turning, or pops out of the can and the spray goes everywhere but on the chain. If you keep your eye on all these things it eventually seems to clean quite well..

Rated 2 out of 5 by Paul7777 from Shiny on the outside dirty on the inside Using this will do a fairly good job of cleaning the outside of your chain but will leave the insides of the rollers full of grit working away to wreck your chain. I used this device and the chain came up looking quite nice. Then I took the chain off and put it in a petrol bath, the dish became full of grit and lumps of dirt showing just how much the device hadn't done. If you have a quick link in your chain I would still recommend doing a full deep clean, if you are going to go to the trouble of properly re-lubricating each link with good quality lube you may as well clean it properly first, and re-lubricating is much easier with the chain laid out on a workbench. It only takes a couple of minutes to swish the chain around in some petrol or degreaser, changing the fluid a couple of times.

How do you get your chain into this properly?

I have recently bought the chain doc but cannot close the device properly over my chain as it wont fit into the black part of the chain bath properly and I can't back pedal the chain through it. Tried to the other day and it pulled the chain off. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong?

I am afraid that in this case we would require a few more details from you. Please use our Contact Us form on the following link and we should be able to help you further: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ContactUsForm

Where can you get a replacement plastic tube?

before I have used this once the plastic tube between the can and the bath has been knocked off and lost - can I get a replacement tube from you?
Asked by: gawp
We don't currently hold these as a spare - we would suggest in this instance contacting the manufacturer directly (https://muc-off.com/pages/contact-us).

Can you replace the can or do you need to rebuy the whole thing when empty?

Asked by: Bruford
You can purchase the can separately once you have run out. This is shown below.
