This rear wheel features a cold-forged aluminium rim construction, which makes it more than capable of conquering all the challenges that are associated with all-day epics in the mountains. Nukeproof has also equipped this rock-solid model with a TCS 2.0 profile that creates a more robust, easily installed and dependable tubeless system. A recessed channel along the centre of the rim also allows installation of the Solid Strip, which prevents tubeless tape from sagging at the spoke holes and results in a smooth, consistent interface between the tyre and rim.

The main hub body design features a tough but lightweight 7075 series aluminium construction. It has been cold forged for optimum strength and fatigue resistance. Then it is extensively and precisely CNC machined to shave excess weight without compromising structural integrity.
The Nukeproof Horizon rear hub features a total of five high-quality EZO Japanese cartridge bearings and seals. The bearing layout consists of two on the drive side to help spread the load of pedalling force through the hub, one on the non-drive side and a further two in the freehub body. The freehub design offers incredibly fast power transfer with 42-points of engagement and is constructed from 7075 aluminium for optimised durability and performance.
