Answer:
No, the material is different as well.
Classic: PVC material, QL-1 locking system.
Plus: modern woven synthetic with waterproof lining, QL-2 locking system.
QL-2 locking system requires no tools to adjust and works with the anti-theft cables. QL-1 requires an allen key to adjust.
The difference in material is under hot debate - the Plus is environmentally friendly, Ortlieb claim it to be as good as the Classic, but some say the Classic PVC wears better.

My local bike shop helped me solve this problem recently. My bike didn't have mounts for a rack, and I bet your roadbike does not either. We went with the Civia Loft Pannier rack, and it works great!

Yep, I use them on my rear rack, and they come with a range of different fittings so I imagine they fit most rear racks (although wouldn't know about all).

Answer:
These panniers are rear rack compatible but you will need a rack with a central post running up from the rack mount, otherwise the bags will need to be mounted at a angle.

Answer:
The rear ones are bigger and can have accessories such as a drink bottle holder and a helmet holder.
Unless you are camping and need the extra space then I would save the money and buy the front ones. I am doing the LEJOG staying at YHAs and B&Bs and have more than enough space for all my stuff (all my stuff is small and lightweight). Replace stuff like full sized towels with a Lifeventure Microfibre Travel Towel.
I put the stuff I need regularly in my Ortlieb Bar Bag.
Hope this helps.

Answer:
I use only one of the panniers about 90% of the time (I only use both of them when doing a weekly grocery shop so typically just use one when commuting or running shorter errands).
The only time I ever have an issue with using just one pannier is getting on or off the bike. Heavily loaded it does take a time or two of practice to counterbalance the weight (I also have a men's bike with a crossbar so have to swing my leg around back. It's also a tall bike so I have to tip it over a bit to do so). Once on the bike, I honestly don't ever notice an imbalance in weight using just one pannier. I thought I would - but pleasantly surprised I don't and would say you'd be very comfortable using just one regularly!

Answer:
They do not come with a front rack, but will fit almost all front racks on the market. I use a Jandd front rack because I like the top shelf, but there are many others that do fine. Tubus is also a great rack, Surly makes a fine rack. Front racks can be found at Wiggle along with the panniers, but they are sold separately.

I can confirm that they do not come with a front pannier rack, this needs to be purchased separately. I would suggest the LifeLine Alloy Front Rack as it is a good price and keeps the front panniers out of the way for steering. I hope this helps.

Hi. Took my set out on their first tour and they kept falling off my tubus duo lowriders going over bumps. One of them caught in the spokes and one of the two mounting clips was broken. These are removable and should be replaceable. Can you order the spare part for me? Thanks!
