The Pitlock 2 Piece Skewer is a coded high-security protection device that is a direct replacement for the quick release skewers on your front wheel.

Duplicate keys can only be ordered using the security code supplied

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.

Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.

Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to remove This does not come with the protective caps that Pitlock heavily feature in their product demonstration videos. After installing the caps, and later getting a flat, the caps are impossible to remove and therefore it was also impossible to access the keyed nut and remove my wheel, and fix my flat. Pitlock have provided no solution other than go to my bike shop - which they refused to cover despite their product causing these damages of time, transport costs and potential axle damage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from jacksaw needed Fitted to my "Merida Speeder 100". It's nice, but for perfection I need to cut off 5 mm extended end of the skewer, because it's too wide. Overall, I like the purchase.

to replace a standard skewer?

I have bought this to fit my MTB however it doesn't seem the right size- it is much thinner (narrower) than a standard skewer. Is this the right product?

Well it is definitely not standard diameter for an MTB axle, which I think is 9mm- it is narrow than that. Is it safe to use?
