Description

Lightweight & Durable

The Prime Baroudeur Road Wheelset weighs in at only 1516g, making it a truly lightweight wheelset. However, due to the high-quality components, they are extremely tough and reliable.

Aerodynamic

They feature a 19mm internal rim to improve aerodynamics with wider tyres and an R020 hub set, which rolls perfectly, even on rougher roads. Built using Pillar Spokes and DT Swiss Pro Lock nipples, which guarantee stiffness and durability, the Baroudeurs are ideal for long training rides or fast-paced racing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheap solution for winter training Bought these for winter training, fitted them up with Mavic Yksion 25 tubeless tires. The wheel are ok, but very slow and sluggish, especially on headwinds, compared to the Campa Bora 35 I run. They are much slower even than an old set of Campagnolo Zonda's that I used until recently. Front wheel with a small problem at the rim joint, not quite well finished and you will feel that when braking. Nevertheless they are proper to train in winters, cheap and easy to service, but finally it will turn your race machine into a commuter bike :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light but not true These are good value and light for the price. Sadly the front wheel was out of true and the brake track was badly manufactured so my brake blocks rubbed and grabbed. Had to send back for a replacement. However, assuming this is a one off these are great and ride and climb well. They also have sealed bearings which is good at this price and weight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value, spin nicely, no wear indicator. These wheels came nicely packaged and secure, the rim tape is fitted at the factory, the spokes were nice and tight and there was very little lateral and radial drift even after two fairly hefty Peak rides. The wheels come with decent quality QR's and valves, spare spokes and nipples. They weighed in just a smidge under the claimed weight and span freely. Two negatives, there is no wear indicator, not a deal breaker but I live and ride in the gritty Peak District and expect to wear through rims quicker than if I lived in Sunny Surrey. The other negative, the join on both rims leaked tubeless fluid for a while.

im looking for a good value tubeless wheelset for my old CX bike, ideally to run 35mm tyres and a 9 speed shimano cassette, would these wheels work for me?
