Lightweight Rim

We’ve experimented with numerous types of resin and tested countless new lay ups before we settled on our new and improved BlackEdition rim. But, that’s not all, we’ve upgraded to a higher grade of carbon, saving precious grams, and improving on the impact strength/weight ratio making the new BlackEdition our best rim yet.

Wider = Improved Performance

The Prime BlackEdition 60 Carbon Disc Rear Wheel features a 60mm deep aero rim profile, meaning you get more speed for the same effort. A wider rim profile creates a more linear contour with the tyre to increase the BlackEdition 60's aerodynamic properties.

Greater Strength To Weight Ratio

Built up using a RD010 CNC machined 7075 hub and DT Swiss straight pull spokes the Prime BlackEdition 60 Carbon Disc Rear Wheel creates a stiffer wheel with a greater strength to weight ratio and more reactivity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Replaced under warranty These wheels were replaced for my RR50-SE wheels which had multiple spoke nipples crumbling and decaying after 6 months of use. It should be noted the RR50s used cheaper pillar spokes, while the BlackEditions use DTSwiss. I've only put a few 100km on these, and they seem alright. Only one issue straight out of the box, the driveside hub bearing was not pressed fully into the hub, resulting in about 1mm of lateral play when the wheel was in the frame. A quick fix with a bearing press, but something I would not have expected to need to do. Very happy with Wiggle's handling of the warranty process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, Solid Wheel Who needs to spend over a $1000? $2000? Or even $3000 on carbon wheels? These wheels are a great value for what you are getting. The wheel even comes with aero spokes. You can even race legally as these are UCI legal... and if you crash them, they offer a crash replacement at a significant discount on these already inexpensive wheels. When compared to the more expensive brands out in the wheelset market, these wheels are heavier, but within 200 grams. You make the choice, is it worth spending the extra $1000-$2000 for a few hundred grams? This wheel feels just fine to me, and I feel as though it carries its own weight. When going down descents or on the flats I noticed an great improvement over my shallower 30mm's. Additionally, the wide rim profile really does make a difference to the tire contact patch and I always felt that I could push harder into the corners. Overall, what can I say, it's NOT Chinese carbon garbage but it's also not an ENVE.

Hi wiggle team, Is everything I need for a 12x145 rear through Axle, supplied in the box with the wheels or do I need to purchase an apaptor separately?
