Schwalbe Marathon Plus Rigid MTB Tyre
Decided to change my MTB knobbly tyres for these slicker but grippy tyres. Used mostly for road, cycle path and gravel track. Seem to be fast rolling yet grip well in the wet. Since having these I've been surprised that I'm keeping pace with some road bike users, which I could never do with knobbly tyres. They are quite hard and stiff to fit compared to some tyres, but it only took a couple of minutes. Taking them off is hard, but again I managed it with three plastic tyres lever's within a few minutes. Make sure you check the correct direction of travel before fitting! No cuts or punctures so far at all, even after riding over broken glass. They seem reassuringly puncture resistant

tough tyres
we've used these on a tandem for some time now and they really do have great puncture resistance - quite a struggle to get on to the rim - but with any luck you won't be needing to remove them very often.

Stoppes punctures almost entirely
Went from having punctures once a week (or once a day in hedge cutting season) to almost never. The one flat I got only happened when I pulled a huge hawthorn out when doing routing cleaning – I have no idea how long it had been in there though. Well worth the money if you're even slightly rural.

Excellent MTB commuting tyre
Slightly harder to fit than other tyres I've had but once on these are excellent. Really smooth and quick rolling with lots of grip. I only do about 10 miles a day on my commuter MTB but these tyres have made it more enjoyable.
Can't comment on puncture-resistance yet as they've only been on a few weeks but, that said, I've yet to have a puncture.
I replaced Schwalbe Land Cruisers which aren't bad as hybrid tyres but don't have great puncture resistance and aren't as good for commuting.

Good but Harsh ride
I have only had these on for a few weeks so too early to tell about the puncture resistant properties. The tyres were surprisingly easy to fit, after hearing many reviews stating they are difficult to mount, this was not the case. The ride is noticeably harsher than my old conti pros (at 80 psi) and I noticed the cornering difference straight away, maybe this is the transition from the Kevlar band to the normal rubber? But none of these things is a major problem as I use them for commuting. If the claims on puncture resistance prove true then I would deem them a sound investment.

This tire has the best punture protection!
I have ridden across the United States with these tires without a flat, and now have 8600 miles on them and still no flat! I have converted several of my cycling friends to using nothing but the Marathon Plus tires, and they have also had the same praise for them as I have. Purchasing from you has been easy and your fast delivery of all orders is the fastest I've had from anyone anywhere!

A GAMBLE !
I FEEL SO MUCH SECURE AGAINST PUNCTURES ...
BUT THE GAMBLE IS THAT WHEN I DO I'LL HAVE ANOTHER ALMIGHTY STRUGGLE GETTING THE TYRE OFF AND ON THE RIM.

Bad quality tyre
Mounting was no problem but at the first ride the wheel suddenly started to bump. The tyre had lost its shape and a blister came out on the side wall. I have had these tyres before without problem. Now I'm looking for how to make a complaint but I have not yet found this option on the Wiggle site. Right now I'm not very pleased with the buy.

good hardcpre short distance commuting tyre
Rolls well enough for short distance commuting and the wight and rolling penalty is far outweighed by not stopping to fix punctures

Bomb proof end of punctures great commuting tyres bit heavy but worth the sacrifice for reliability.So impressed buying some more for fixed wheel bike after several punctures going to and from work .
A real pain when you have deadlines to meet.
Fully recomended them to anyone commuting!

Excellent tyre if a little tricky to fit
First thing you need to know about this tyre is that it is tricky to fit - because it is so rigid, it requires quite a bit of extra care (and patience) to fit. Coating the bead with really soapy water is a great help.
The trye itself is great. Well made, durable.
One thing I found slightly unnerving on first ride was that these tyres are almost silent on the road - probably the quietest tyres I've come across. Don't worry though, there's plenty of grip.

Famous for its tough, puncture resistance
Easy to fit with legendary robustness and ability to tackle rough and debris-strewn surfaces with confidence. For a near bullet-proof tyre, the weight and rolling resistance are not excessive.

as this is the last bike I will be buying I thought I would put the best tyres on it and these are the best having used them before, they are a bit expensive but as with anything in life you get what you pay for. a bit tricky to fit good tight fit on the rims but well worth the effort

classic fit and forget.
The perfect winter commuter tire.
True round the world for and forget, maybe slightly slower than others in terms of rolling speed, but when you're cycling to work you don't want to stop to fix punctures.
Fitted these onto my city bike with Alfonse hubs either end, not the kind of bike you want to be taking wheels off in a Huey to fix punctures with.
Truly puncture resistant even on urban canals that have been resurfaced with a layer of broken glass.
Only downside is I no longer have that excuse for being late for work!

Laughs in the face of punctures
I buy these without even considering other tyres because my past experience has been so positive. Over the years the very rare punctures I've had I've found to be in the side wall. I dread to think how many more I would have suffered I'd not made use of this brilliant tyre's added protection. Ease worth the extra few quid.
Ideal road tyre with reflective rim that can easily cope with rough rural back roads, and tracks. Make sure you keep them well inflated to get the best use out of them.
They'll do you proud.

Great tyres - virtually puncture proof
Third pair of tyres purchased for a mountain bike after having these fitted to both my tandem and touring bike. Never punctured on either bike and fantastic quality.

Best and strong
After using both tires for 500km, do recommend for other who do not want any problems from tires. Performed stable, fast and silent on road.

Better than I expected
I've always been put off marathons due to reviews saying how slow they were, but after some puncture nightmares on my 17 mile round trip to work I decided reliability now comes before rolling resistance. It only took 50mins to take off my old Specialised Armadillos & very carefully put these on, I even did one without levers, so my initial fears never materialised. Once I set off on my test ride I was really shocked at how quickly they roll - I'd say as fast as my Armadillos easily, and very smooth. I've only done 200miles so far but they've held their pressure (100psi) well. Assuming these are as puncture proof as the original marathons I reckon I'll never buy a different commuter tyre again.
