Description

Tubeless Easy SnakeSkin technology This is the new standard for Schwalbe's Evo tyres. A new sidewall monofilament fabric brings three advantages over the previous SnakeSkin fabric; even better cut resistance, increased protection and most importantly it allows an extremely easy Tubeless conversion. Tubeless Easy replaces both the previous Tubeless and Tubeless Ready versions.

I'm a big fan of the current Schwalbe tyres, they always manage to be lighter than their peers, but without any drawbacks, I know weight isn't the most important thing in the world, but I seem very sensitive to rotating weight. I know that some have had I ssues with the sidewall strength,but I've never had a problem riding trail centres or in the Chilterns where I do most of my riding, it could be an issue in s rocky area I guess,YMMV Sert up easily as tubeless, I didn't even have to use the compressor. Highly recommended as a front tyre in summer and on the back in winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good all rounder Using this as a rear tyre with a Hans Dampf up front and I find this a good combination running tubeless. Had this tyre before in 2.35 but found it a bit wide in the back of my frame so when it got a bad sidewall cut I took the oportunity to fit the 2.25. I only weigh 61 kilo so can run fairly low pressures without problem which gives good grip and reasonable rolling resistance. They appear to be softish compound but I don't wear the tyres out fast or cause any tread tearing issues as I don't put out big power, so for me these are good tyres. Nice light weight so spin up readily. Easy to mount tubless with a compressor.

Q & A

Will this tyre work with a tube or is it just tube less. Just wondering what the to easy means?

What is the difference between Trailstar and Pacestar

PaceStar - for MTB Race, All Mountain and Tour. Super-fast with a combination of low rolling resistance and durability. The tyre shoulders were made appreciably softer to improve handling on rough terrain. TrailStar - for Enduro and Freeride. Triple Nano compound was unsuitable performance-wise and the rolling resistance of Gooey Gluey was too high. TrailStar has substantially more grip, better damping and handling control. Nevertheless, the compound is not overly heavy, making it suitable for climbing too.
