Rated 2 out of 5 by from Carbon Rails will break Carbon Rails will break in a couple years, and SELLE ITALIA will not replace them or give you an option to buy a replacement rail, just say too bad for you, not recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BROKE TWICE i used to ride Selle Italia SLR (the old model) on my MTB. The saddle lasted for a year and then the rails started flexing (metal tiredness). I bought the new SLR anti friction, the one of the review, and after a week or two the 2 titanium ralis cracked at the rear end curve where they go to the saddle. Wiggle gave me a new one, which i have been riding for 6 months aprox and again now 1 of the titanium rails cracked at exactly the same point as the previous saddle. End of the story with Selle Italia for me now. Definitely weak materials they use now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant lightweight saddle Bought this saddle at a heavily reduced price but after a few outings I concluded it would have been well worth paying the full price. Initially it seems very hard; none of the immediate comfort that comes from a squidgy foam saddle or even from the heavier gel covering from a Selle Italia max flite. However in practice the saddle seems to mould to you and the carbon rails absorb much of the road roughness, So after a long day in the saddle, you almost forget it is there. So five stars from me for comfort and five stars for being lightweight. It looks well made and stylish too

Q & A

Oval rails, Round rail caps dilemma.

I have a 3T Ionic seatpost and the rail cap states that it's for round rails. It looks from the photos that the Selle Italia Kit Carbonio saddle has oval rails. I know that the oval caps are manufactured separately by 3T, do Wiggle stock them? I really like the saddle and don't want to choose an alternative.
