Rated 3 out of 5 by Nibiru from No grip If the cap is tight it is impossible to get enough grip to remove it. Had to resort to using a hammer and screwdriver on its edge almost wrecking it. There is product with wings that may be better for grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Aquabear from Works perfectly Excellent little tool - does exactly what it is meant to do.

Q & A

What material is it made of ? and what connects to the back of it ?

Asked by: GingerBandit
Its made of hard plastic and is designed to insert into the centre holder bolt on your bottom bracket on a Hollow tech. Nothing connects to the back of it as you should be able to turn it with your fingers

Removal of Tiagra 4700 and 105 5700 crank

Hi there, I need to remove a tiagra 4700 crankset and a 105 5700 crankset. Is this the tool for the job? I also need to replace my BB how do I know what BB I need? I have a Specialized Allez 2010 which will have 105 5700 fitted and a Trek Domane 4.3 2014 (BB90) which will have a 105 5800 fitted. In case you were wondering I'm upgrading my Trek components from 105 5700 to 5800 and putting my 105 5700 components on my Specialized in place of its current tiagra stuff. Cheers.
