The website says this is for an 11 speed bike but it is actually for a 9 speed instead so I had to send it back

Is this compatible with Shimano Hollowtech 2 cranks?
Looking for a cheap, durable, middle ring as a short term stop gap for a bike with M580(?) LX chainset. Would this do the job?
Asked by: hopkinsgm
Yes compatible.

I have a M590 Deoro chainset 22-32-44 can I replace the 32 with this 36T?
Asked by: YesEvil
You should be fine doing this, you will need to have your gears checked afterwards to make sure the shifting is till accurate. The change to and from the 22t ring won't be the smoothest because of the large size gap but should be fine otherwise.

Yes, as long as you order the correct PCD size and the speed is compatible e.g. 8 and 9 speed.

I have a Shimano Deore Chainset Hollowtech II M542, Just wondering if this middle chainring will fit also can you use a Cn 7701 chain with it ?
Asked by: aforestfan
You should be fine with this chainring on a M542 chainset. The chain will work but generally you will get a better performance from a cheaper 9 speed chain on 9 speed rings, 10 speed chains will work though.
