Invaluable when it steep and long! One of the best things about the DA 9000 (and similar) range is the ability to mix and match chainrings.As long as you don't ride "big big" or "little little" (i.e. cross chain chronically) there is a little slack left in your chain length. This means a 52/34 can run quite happily and there are some circumstance s where the 34 is awesome. Spinning up a hill early in your race can leave your legs fresher for when it counts. These are hard-weaing and shift smoothly. They aren't "stupidly expensive" so are a good call :) 27 February 2016
