Part of the Dura-Ace 9100 evolution of Shimano's ongoing passion for technology the C24 wheelset is both simple and beautiful with an understated look, typical of Shimano's design. However, you should never underestimate the performance of the understated look, this wheelset provides a lower weight, higher stiffness and greater rolling efficiency than previous models.

Rapid Engagement

The Dura-Ace C24 carbon laminate boasts ultra quick engagement, every 10 degrees, with a lightweight titanium freehub the acceleration is nothing short of spectacular. Climbing becomes quicker, more rhythmic and gives you the ability to outrun the competition.

Increased Lateral Rigidity

Boasting an increased lateral rigidity from a 3mm offset asymmetrical rim combined with wide flange spacing on the rear aluminium hub (7075 alloy axle) and a higher spoke tension, your energy transfer is to the road and not wasted to lateral flex, helping you outpace your rivals.

Ultralight Weight Rims

Low rim weight is achieved by reducing the alloy wall thickness from 1.3mm down to 0.7mm, then a patented phosphoric acid anodizing process is used to bond the carbon fibre to the alloy giving an excellent combination of low weight, strength and rigidity

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Light weight just don't expect them to last These wheels are designed for speed and out of the box you will be very happy with them. Just expect to replace them early as they are so light they have little strength, and if mine are anything to go by you will suffer corrosion on the inner rim which has caused the wheel to fail. Definitely won't be buying these again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, Quality Wheels These are really solid, stiff, fast wheels. Perfect for climbing (only aprox 100g's heavier than the SYS SLR set of Mavics I was considering instead) but uses normal brake pads and spokes and looks far less 'in your face' than most of the other alternatives. In short - doesn't look particularly fancy but it's a light fast tyre, and I use them on windy/hilly days which don't suit the deep carbon rims, and for casual local rides. You will need some rim tape and tyres but it does come with a pair of skewers and spoke tools. Also not sure if it's because they were both new but it took an enormous effort to get the clinchers on these (conti gp5ks) - Somewhat dreading having a puncture...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent but delicate Replacement set. These wheels are light and stiff. They are not really aero at all and have a narrow rim width that could be updated given current advancements made in this area. That said I've been very happy with them and they perform brilliantly. But...they are delicate. A strong impact on a pot hole, not a big crash, meant the rims were bent and the wheels written off because rim replacement is not possible. Shimano don't seem to supply the rims for replacement and there aren't replacements available in the required drillings - given the low spoke counts. Had my insurance not paid for replacements, I would have had a lightweight wheelset built with replaceable / serviceable parts.

Which type of brake pads do you use with those wheels?

Would you use carbon or normal alloy brake pads on those wheels? As rim materials states carbon and aluminium!

You have to use standard (alloy) pads with these wheels. The braking surface is not carbon.

What’s the max rider weight limit for these wheels please?

Tubeless compatible

Can these be converted to tubeless using tape and valves?

Is the rear hub spacing really 141mm?

Is the rear hub spacing of 141mm listed on the ad accurate? Seems odd that these wheels would be made only for QR Boost bikes. Thank you
