Description

Just because the wet and cold conditions of winter arrive we know you'll not be put off from grabbing your mountain bike and getting into the great outdoors and ripping along muddy, slippery, challenging but grin-inducing MTB trails. However, wet, cold and soggy feet aren't so fun which is why investing in the  MW5 Dryshield MTB boots will keep that smile on your face and feet dry, cosy and warm. A DRYSHIELD® membrane stops water, mud and cold winds from getting inside and this is enhanced by an insulating fleece inner and insole with fleece liner while the lace flap and neoprene collar provide a firm seal against the elements.

When it comes to easy adjustment, the speed lacing system can't be beaten, you'll be sealed and ready to ride in no time and equally it's a cinch to undo at the end of your ride too. The two-bolt cleat compatible sole ensures you can clip into your favourite MTB pedals and navigate any trail with ease and if you do have to hop off and push, then the durable rubber outsole gives you impressive grip levels and solid traction in the dirt.

Returns

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.

Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.

Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dryshield? Last year I bought these boots as Shimano always fit and generally make good equipment. I initially thought these were a good buy but this year I have noticed they let water in extremely easy from the perforated upper toe. I don't know why this is as I never noticed wet socks before from riding on wet roads. (not in rain) They had got wet when I had ridden in the rain which you would expect this from water entering down the cuff. I wished I had bought the Gore -Tex MW7 although they have their issues. I ride a Road bike with mudguards so they may be better as an MTB boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with these boots I bought these boots to keep my feet warm. The outside is probably water proof but as I found out if you are wearing shorts the rain will enter from the top of the boot and your feet will get wet. They aren't very breathable so after a few hours your feet feel a bit like being in plastic bags but its not unbearable. They seem tough and well made and should last. A bit expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worth the money These boots fit to size and fit me perfectly. They are very well made and, as other reviews have said, you can walk in them ok, with plenty of traction on the sole. The sole is stiff, great for riding but you wouldn't want to walk a long way in them. You can wear them for both flat and mtb clip pedals. They are warm and so far, have stood up well to riding in wet weather and muddy trails. I use them for commuting, off road and leisure rides of up to 20 miles. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm. Dry. What more can you ask for? I use these on a seven mile commute. I have not had them out in utterly torrential rain but they keep my feet warm and dry in an autumn shower. They are at least as good as the overshoes I used previously and much more convenient.

I use flat mountain bike pedals on my road bike for commuting I was just wondering if these would be suitable for this type of pedals?
