Description

Fitting new brakes or completely overhauling your brake cabling couldn't be easier - everything you need in one pack. Uses dual ended inner wire for use on road or MTB applications.

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.

Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.

Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.

Is this cable set for a front brake or a rear brake?

I can confirm that this set included two inner cables. One for the front and one for the rear. I hope this helps.

Compatible with Shimano 2300?

Is this brake cable set compatible with Shimano 2300? I'm sure this groupset has been replaced by Sora now, as that's all I can find.

I believe so. There are two type of 'lugs' for want of a better word. There is a bowl/cone shaped one and a cylindrical one set perpendicular to the cable. These come with both (each cable has one of each). Just cut off the one that you don't need.

Is the inner of these cables galvanised steel or stainless steel.

Should these cables be lubricated before fitting and if yes, with what?

These cables are standard Shimano cables that have no lubrication from the factory. The outer cable is lined with a polymer sheath that will aid cable drag. You can lubricate the inner with a small amount of wet chain lubricant which will help.

Hi, will the pedros cable cutter, or the park tools cn-10 (c I think) cut these outers cleanly without the need for a dremel? Thanks very much!
